The x-men cartoon was animated by a Japanese studio too. A lot of old cartoons from the late 80's & 90's were. Dunno if said studio is around but plus I question all the writing. I wont say much more but it wont be written well. Look at modern X-men comics. That whole Krakoa thing is absolutely fucking insane. Like why not build machines to repair damaged tissue? What the fuck. The cloning thing is insane.

Not directly relevant to the game, but turns out the original cartoon is back to business:

Nice this is good news for me, glad they decide to continue the original cartoon, the music really make me feel nostalgic when hearing it

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but... You maaaaaaay want to keep your expectations low. The bombastic announcement of Morph joining the cast as newly non-binary rather suggests that it's been... what's that phrase... "updated for a modern audience". But who knows, might get pleasantly surprised by Disney-owned Marvel... it'd be a change.

To extinguish your hope, modern day Disney remember.

Make sure to just grab clips of the girls. The only possible interesting thing.
As someone that once worked for disney, this isn't modern day disney, this is how disney has always been. You just see less of it because they didn't have access to social media to directly pander to. Rated G when facing the public and scumbag when behind the curtain has always been their modus operandi.

After the travesty to Cinema that was Star Wars Episode 8 and 9, and the overt agenda pushing inserted into every Marvel property in existence, combined with utterly souless live action remakes there is quite literally nothing Disney puts out anymore that I have even the slightest interest in. This X-Men reboot is no different.

The last bit of fun I managed to have was Spiderman No Way home, but that was just siphoning what bit of joy it could from the Raimi Spiderman trilogy, and not any merit of its own. Even Guardians of the Galaxy 3 didn't manage to recapture my interest anymore, and Guardians 1 & 2 were my favorite films of the entire Disney run of Marvel movies.

Think want you want, I don't want to get off topic. Again, I worked for them. There's a reason why the other studios (prior to them all being bought out by Disney) referred to Disney as "The Rat". The "agenda", as you put it, is just the latest, safest, rated G way to not offend the most amount of people. The only difference now is that the latest, safest, rated G way to not offend the most amount of people, offends the very loud and oppressive people.

But back to the topic at hand. Like X-Men has always tackled things like prejudice, racism, puberty and sexual orientation. If you don't believe me, the wikipedia article on X-Men has sources:

The conflict between mutants and normal humans is often compared to real-world conflicts experienced by minority groups in such as , various religious or non-religious groups, ( , individuals, the , etc.)
Some commentators have noted the similarities between the struggles of mutants and the community, noting the onset of special powers around and the parallels between being and the mutants' concealment of their powers. In the comics series, gay and characters include , , Destiny, Karma, Mystique, Psylocke,
...
It has been said that the comic books and the X-Men animated series delved into the epidemic with a long-running plot line about the , a seemingly incurable disease thought at first to attack only mutants (similar to the AIDS virus which at first was spread through the gay community). In the film , is asked by his CIA boss why he never disclosed his mutant identity, and his response was .
Like, no one would have a problem with Mystique macking on guys and girls. But Morph, another shapeshifter doing so is "the agenda"? Seems kinda sus to me...

No. Fucking. Thanks. Spamwich. Modern cartoons are a NO and a cringe for me man
First second into the preview we get a quick fanshot of Calisto and Leech...which is then ruined by the Daily Bugle proudly displaying a line discussing the "Hellfire Gala" - the worst story out of the entire run. Written by Eddie Brock, photos by Peter Parker. Which just wrecked continuity as the original X-MEN & Spider-man TAS ran concurrently and cross-overed. Poorly drawn and poorly animated FoH protesters. A shot of either Magneto or Shredder facing the UN. Can YOU tell the difference?

What is literally wrong with the line art? Nothing looks right at all. Was this done entirely by AI?! Oh, and Jubilee's VA refused to return because "she ain't 'Asian'"!

1708064070181.png <- Rogue's breast reduction.
1708064105762.png <- Rogue's ass reduction.

There is nothing about this that looks like it was created by a human mind with human artistic ability:

1708064335846.png <- That's Mag-fucking-neto!

As a reminder, THIS is what the show looked like 30 years ago:

I am bisexual my guy, and I actually agree that X-Men is not a bad place to discuss those topics, especially considering X-Men's initial concept was a sort of analog for racism in society. My problems with the cartoon specifically boil down to it looking like a low effort cash grab that's overtly just trying to cash in on nostalgia. My issue with their agenda is when it's inserted into literally EVERYTHING constantly. It is downright obnoxious, and modern Disney is notorious for it. You seem like a reasonable person, so I'll just leave it at that. This is veering way too far off topic for this thread anyhow. Cheers.

I can describe Marvel and Disney as many things; safe, anti-oppressive and profit driven would not be one of them.
