TLDR : Want non-sexual intimacy and TLC without cheesiness.

I've gotten my fill of Nukige games with fake-looking superficial relationships where the concept of "relationship evolution" actually means having kinkier sex as the game progress. Some of them can be fun, but I want some changes. It might be weird to ask about this on a porn games pirate site, but I'm now searching for VNs that have a healthy amount of cuddling, hand-holding, hugging, tickling and other loving or playful acts without devolving into ultra cheesiness or diabetes-inducing sweetness overdose. What I do NOT want is games like My New Family where there's someone telling the MC that they love him and that he's perfect every 10 lines. I'd also prefer to avoid games written in engrish and RPGM games since it's a terrible engine for VNs. I don't mind if it's a KN, if it has incest or not, harem/polyamory or not, BDSM or not. And I value storytelling over renders quality.

Example of games I've played that have what I'm seeking:
The Seven Realm (Thumbnails below that shows exactly what I want) - Plenty of non-sexual intimate scenes. Not once do they tell each other the infamous three words, and yet it's easy to see that they care for each other.
A House in the Rift - From memory, there is not many scenes like that unfortunately, but there is still a few with Azraesha.
Now and Then - Many scenes with most of the harem girls.
Paternal Love - It's been a while since I've played, but I remember one of the daughters always wanting to hug and cuddle.

All of those games are harem games, but as mentioned before, that is not a requirement.

A.O.A. Academy isn't really to my tastes, but it fits what you're looking for.

Ch1 has a really abrupt sex scene because it was the initial release and I guess the author felt compelled to include one, but after that its hours of nonsexual romance scenes... and occasional sexual ones.

WVM is also really popular around here. Personally I think it sucks, and your quote:
someone telling the MC that they love him and that he's perfect every 10 lines
...is pretty much a perfect description of WVM.

Can't think of anything else that focuses on nonsexual intimacy.

Already played WVM and I somewhat agree with you (although I didn't really dislike the game). What actually turns me off with this one is the huge amount of LI in the harem (haven't counted but it's above 12 for sure and it seems to be evergrowing). Having the MC sleep with 5+ different girls in a single day makes it hard to take any of his relationships seriously.

Haven't played A.O.A Academy even though I've glanced at it a few times. I'll give it a try. Thx!
