Okay, the first thing I have to admit is that my disappointment is entirely my fault. I read a few other reviews and thought, "How bad could it be?" Answer: Pretty bad. I can't even imagine attempting to play this game without the walkthrough.
Even with the walkthrough the amount of repetitive scenes is criminal. You shouldn't have to repeat scenes 5 or 6 times to get ahead with little to no change in the story. The walkthrough claims that you are progressing but when nothing changes after the fourth or fifth try I begin to get impatient.
I don't mind a slow burn but this isn't just slow, it's mindlessly repetitive to where I began to feel the Devs were purposefully jerking me (the player) around as I navigated their their limited and repetitious scenes time after time. How many times do you need to ask her why she's wearing the swimsuit instead of the bikini before she puts the damn thing on? I counted at least five times. Ridiculous.
All of my venting and frustrations are amplified by the fact that I had first downloaded My Best Friend's Daughter and it instructed me to play Room for Rent from start to finish which is the only reason I tried this game. This resulted in me deleting both games off my PC and writing this review. If Room For Rent is a precursor to what I can expect when I play My Best Friend's Daughter, no thank you. 1.5/5
