As of 6.8 this happens unless someone else has gotten it to work.

Is this where the "codes" button is supposed to show up? I can't find it anywhere and I'd really like to be able to skip the battles, they are super annoying.

you can do that with the cheat demon I think but what you can't do is get both the fury Carys and the demon Xyless in the same playthrough which is what I want
