RPGM - Completed - Roundscape Adorevia [v6.8 Steam] [Arvus Games]

I'll try to keep this short
Engine: one of the few games on this site that truly uses all the benefits of rpgm (combat, items, upgrades etc)
Combat: done extremely well, there are perk skill trees, unique items and characters all of which create a great variation of combat builds, 5/5.
Art, content: since the art is done by many different artist the quality of that art varies from scene to scene. Early scenes are often weaker, in the sense that they are quite simple. Newer scenes on the other hand are more complex and, to me at least, visual more pleasing. Also there is an almost unbelievable amount of content in the game. 4.5/5.
Story: coherent through out the whole game, well written, you can clearly tell someone spent quite a lot of time on it. There are points in the story where some characters have drastic changes to the way they behave but its rare and does not ruin the overall experience.Few games achieve this level of storytelling 5/5.
Replayability : by choosing a gender you automatically skip 50% of the scenes in game. Different characters, genders and choices lead to new scenes making the game very enjoyable even when you play it for a second time 5/5.
Kinks: nice to see that even with the changes to patreon it continues to create scenes with many varying fetishes 5/5.
Bugs: this is where the game really suffers. You would struggle to find so many bugs in any other high budget porn game out there. There are bugs I've encountered that stop me from progressing in the main story and in one of the main DLC's (I do not use any cheat engines which sometimes create these bugs) which to be honest is quite frustrating considering you can put more then 20h in the game only to be halted in the middle of the story. 0/5

It pains me to give this game a 3/5 overall when it could easily be a 5/5 however when the game is bugged to such an extent that it sometimes becomes impossible to progress I cannot give it more. Also the forum discussions show that other players experience similar problems meaning such bugs are not that rare.

This game is fantastic! The easiest way for me to describe it is a classic dark fantasy JRPG (turn-based combat, leveling up, quests, open world, etc.) with tons of sex. All kinds of sex. Pretty much everyone is sexually open in this game, and there's even pregnancy. There are tons of quests and sidequests in this game, and most of them lead to sex scenes. Massive props to the devs, because it felt like every fetish was thrown in. And you can skip any scene you don't want to see. There's also a gallery in game to rewatch scenes, which is always a great addition to any game!

You get to choose to be male or female, and one of 5 different classes, all of which alter your origins and the sex scenes you get. I've only done a male run with farmer origins so far, and some of the quests I did were specific to my class, while others were locked for other classes. You get different sex scenes based on your sex obviously, but you can also get different sex scenes based on your class. All of this encourages replayability to see everything in the game.

The overall plot is a save the world type of JRPG plot, except without collecting 4 treasures of the elements (thank goodness). There's lots of worldbuilding from the very beginning and all of the quests enhance your understanding of the setting. There's a morality system as well, as you can be honorable or corrupt, which alters the way you and your party members act. Your choices in the game do matter, in terms of morality and quest outcomes, as well as in terms of party affection, which affects whether you can have different sex scenes with them. The more affection you have, the more sex you can have. And I wanted to because I really liked all of the party members. They're all different and have character development, and see and interact with you and the world differently.

There are difficulty settings as well, and if you, like me, don't care about combat that much, you can set it to easy and most battles take less than a minute. There is also a perk system that give lots of pretty cool benefits that make combat even easier. Even so, some boss battles can be pretty hard, as they do still hit you pretty hard, and for some reason your party's attacks generally miss a lot. There are also cheats that you can use to avoid combat altogether, so it's really up to you how you want to play.

However all of this doesn't mean the game is without its faults. This game is still in development, so there are bugs and glitches here and there, particularly with the gallery. Also, the sex scenes are all still images and artwork, usually 2 or 3 per scene, without any animations. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I did start to notice that most of the sex scenes sound similar after a while because the writer uses the same language and descriptions for most of them. Also, while most of the art looks good, sometimes you get images that look inconsistent with what the characters normally look like in the game. And there is some art that just straight up looks bad.

But the game is still in development and new quests and scenes are still being added. Props to the developers for making such an epic JRPG with tons of choices and an engaging plot with interesting characters. I've spent over 40 hours so far in this (none of which involved any grinding because I played on easy) and I'm still not done. Excellent work Avrus Games!

Been spending soo much time on this and it's got great fetish content. I highly recommend. Didn't excpet to get to damn attached to these characters. Lots of content, been playing for hours and just getting to the end of Act I now.

I don't understand, there are almost no forced sex scene in this game. It means that if you don't want to play as a weird slut, the game is bland as hell.

That's a waste for such a big game.

It's always : "do you want to fuck to do that or not ?" heroine choices-> "oh yeaaaa !" or "okay" or "oh no i'm choking !" and if you say no then nothing happen you just can't complete the quests or have to pay gold sometimes.

For the Orcs in he Elven forest it was so disappointing. I finally managed to win the battle alone against the 3 warriors and then the chief tell my character that she has to be fuck by the whole tribe to keep going "Yes or No ?" euuh… "no" of course "quest failed" ok… that's some solid scenario you got there

Most complex and detailed h-game with rich world in ... the world. I'm with Roundscape since it was just a little "baby". Small game with great potential. Now there is a Hero standing before me. Strong and fearless. I recomend this excelent game to anyone. You wont regret it.

I really enjoy this game! The art style is really nice and looks incredible. Also the story is interesting. I like that the two genders have very different stories. Some scenes overlap, but for the most part you see different scenes when you change gender.

Pretty nice game overall, nice art, interesting questlines and characters, I prefer futanaris rather than shemales, but since it's optional and there's actually futanari in the game, I'm okay with it. It's still an unfinished game, but I'm really hoping they finish it, since I'm loving it at the moment.

Pros: Decent art, good story telling, and fun world to explore.

Cons:
-The game's only downside is it's hang time at the "Now loading" screen. where you often gotta fight with the game to get it to boot up.

Let me start off by saying that this is one of the most enjoyable games I’ve played in a very long time. Seldom have I been this excited to come home and load up a game let alone an adult RPG maker game.

Just finishing my first playthrough logged me about 30 hours total. This includes completing almost every quest that didn’t affect the corrupt route I was going for and taking the time to read each scene. The replayability is high due to various morality aspects as well as both male and female characters having different scenes and dialogue per each section of the game.

In terms of combat I was a bit disheartened. While the customization of your class, socketing items to give them different abilities, and inventory management are wonderfully done, the combat gets easy too quickly. In the beginning on normal difficulty I thought Roundscape would have a pretty nice curve going forward, but by around level 13 I found myself putting the difficulty up to impossible as the challenge wasn’t adequate enough. Even when raising the difficulty I still found myself clearing most fights in one rotation of my party.

The story I was pleasantly surprised with. Both the erotic writing within and lore building kept me interested and wondering what would happen next, how things would unfold with each one of my choices, and overall what angles would I take to deal with a problem that would in turn effect my party’s opinion of me.

For the Art and H-scenes the diversity made me rather happy, although I will say there is a double edged sword here. Certain characters will only preform certain scenes based on their corruption rating. On one hand this makes perfect sense as why would one be open to more crass actions with less corruption. On the other hand this also sort of narrows your playthough a bit (assuming of course you’re familiar with what scenes involve what character and how to go about getting it) to get certain scenes.

Any other critiques I have with this game are minor. Some spelling and formatting errors make certain dialogue look poor if not unable to be visible period. Gameplay wise there were a few glitches I encountered with getting stuck and being unable to move, but reloading the save and approaching from a different angle fixed the situation.

I do hope the devs put more time and effort into this gem as I have no issues supporting this in the future and needless to say I am curious what else the company will produce in the future.

Corruption system allows for multiple playthroughs.

Combat falls off hard too early.
Some text issues that while easily fixed are distracting.
Some minor movement glitches.

This game has a lot of what you may be looking for and boy is it a good game again the draw back is it is a RPGM game meaning saves may get ruined and a lot of grinding/wasting time walking. If you can get over that this game has no other downsides.

Probably one of the best RPG Maker Adult games around currently. It has a lot of systems behind it and give the player a lot of choice. Also has hours on hours of content and entertainment with multiple endings.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better RPGM game. Great depth, interesting companions (and most are optional), and you can push your character to the limits of their piety or depravity. With exclusive scenes for each gender and background story there is great replay-ability. I glady wasted a few days in Adorevia (even when I stated singing "Anvilania" from the animaniacs. - watch it in HULU if you are too young for that ref. lol)

Great game. Nice and long story without much of the grind that usually happens in rpgmaker games. Also there is lots of classes and origins that add a bit of different dialogue lines to the game.

And the main selling point of couse is the huge amount of sex scenes from a wide range of fetishes, specially if you play as a female character while male character scenes is mostly vanilla sex.

There are some bugs yet on it but none game breaking.

The game is a lot of fun and has tons of content. The artwork is hit or miss as some of it is poor quality, but the good artwork is good. Has content from lesbian, bestiality, futa. You can pick what between male or female main character giving you lots of choices. There is also content that requires high/low morality and you can corrupt your party members if you choose. Overall excellent game

Roundscape Adorevia is a really big and complete game. it has a long longevity( it was about 20+ hours for me), it has a lot of characters with a corruption system that changes their behaviour, it has a lot of choises that have an impact on later events and most of all it has really a lot of images

This game gets so much hate for the variety of fetishes in it, but that's dumb. I like a game where I'm exposed to the shit I don't like. It gives the game a feeling that anything can happen, as opposed to every other game out there that's going to be straight vanilla all the way through. I actually think that Roundscape is still a bit tame because there's no gay stuff in the main plot. I'm not gay myself, but I'd just love there to be some gay sex to piss off the douchebags who call the futa stuff gay.

Roundscape is a normal RPG with some erotic cutscenes. It's not a universe where every character is at least a little perverted in any way, they are often just normal dudes. Sometimes there is a possibility of sex, but it'll mainly come from your companions if you make the right decisions. If you don't, much stays boring or companions could even leave you.
Roundscape takes its universe serious, but that doesn't mean it can't boost erotism while remaining authentic.
Personally, I believe what this game badly needs is entire avatar models in dialogues. From there, you could implement character customization and reactions to erotic tension. Without it, the peak of the game is restricted to limited cutscenes. However, this'll only work if you finally decide to enhance the overall perversion of the world.

To be honest, I like this game. I love RPGs so I didn't care too much about how it handled the erotic elements.
But now that I watched the ongoing development for a time, I think it needs a harsher eye.

If you're interested in an RPG review, here are some words:
Regarding the RPG-Elements:
The chances of you trying out two characters (male/female) are high due to the different origins and H-Scenes making a single replay bearable. On that point, the individual intros of the starting classes are very appreciated and fun to witness.
However, the atmosphere gets quite calm after that and everything is not really giving me the necessary tension to reach Act 3. Of course, it's (sometimes) well written and that reflects the fun you have while undergoing quests, but everything between those events is just a dead (and torturous) search for the next scripted occurrence. Hence, it has a weak replay-value overall except if you forget all of it as good as you can in order to relive the scenes. In addition, the quest log is rarely helpful and in rare occasions you will reload because specific decisions are unpardonable. Speaking of decisions, the few that are there are usually yes/no questions.

best game I found on this site (which by the way is a great site), well-built characters, the universe of the game is perfect (do you want to know what is going to happen), not to mention the scenes of sex that were very interesting and differentiated by being a group of people drawing besides a single person, even a Brazilian who does not know how to speak English will like it and even understand what is happening in the game (I speak from my own experience) Thank you for updating this game.

I want to like this game. I can see it’s been crafted over time with a lot of dedication put into it. However, various little things are killing it for me.
My first problem is the obvious grammatical errors in the opening two hours. They aren't numerous and overwhelming, but there are enough that it felt amateurish.

Second issue - the mouse controls. To be short and sweet, they are simply not fun. While I do have a game pad using it causes another set of issues. After plugging in my gamepad I got horrible hit or miss functionality. From directional inputs not being read (causing the player character to suddenly stop moving) to impossible to navigate menus it was just frustrating. I’m frankly amazed this kind of broken inputs was even possible in an RPG maker game.

Next we have a really odd game play issue. You get lag when you exit a game play menu. You read that right, there a tiny hitch/pause/lag after exiting menus and to make matters worse monsters tend to teleport four or five steps after the hitch ends. Exiting a menu should never cause a noticeable hitch in game play.

My last major issue is another odd one. I’ve twice run into dialog for events/people I haven’t experienced in game yet. I don’t mean prompts to go do a quest or visit a person, but rather NPCs speaking to me as if I’ve completed some long quest chain. The oddest part was that the dialogue wasn’t even some quest I’d flagged and hadn’t finished. No, it was glaringly obvious that I was speaking to NPCs about an event I hadn't triggered yet and one I didn’t even know was possible. How’s that for spoilers?

If you're in the market for an e-rpg and are willing to forgive technical and grammatical flaws to get your fix this might be for you. However, if you're looking for a good RPG with erotic elements I'd have to say look elsewhere. It’s a real shame too because as I said before, I can see the effort that was put into what we do have.

Perhaps this game does become amazing later on as some reviews state, but for now I just don't see the polish that would get me to invest more time to find out.

(There actually are a few other things that annoy me but that's artistic in nature not technical flaws)

2024 Update:
A mess of a game, with disjointed mechanics and an inconsistent art style with huge variance in quality. Not to mention the AI art that's been added in recent updates, truly inexcusable. Believe it or not, I used to rate this game five stars, back in 2017. It goes to show you just how low this game has fallen.
