I'm not comparing it in terms of quality or finished content, i'm comparing the mechanics.
If stuff i've brought up is just placeholder-assets (the stripping animation, i'd hope) then that's one thing, but there's no reason not to blatantly steal ideas from, uh, I mean 'take inspiration from' another game in the same genre.

I prefer the stripping mechanic in Seleka, and their butt-shaking animation is way better.
But this one already has a better selection of clothes and some very promising maps.

The shop is pretty good, the mall is pretty barren though but it's very new.
The pool has potential, but there's not a lot to do there yet.
The city map is obviously the most complete.
my very first version of Roxanne and also the following ones before the remake were made before Seleka came out, it's obvious that we took inspiration (as i alredy said) from Seleka for the remake but Seleka could have taken inspiration from us and other games of this genre for his first game. It's not a competition in my opinion

I never said it was a competition either.

The goal, presumably, is to make the best game possible. This means that you should steal whatever worked well for other games in your genre.

See what Seleka did well and take it. See what they did poorly and improve on those issues.
Just be careful to ensure that your own ideas retain their uniqueness and don't get drowned out in the process.

Well, I don't know if the Japanese dev even knew that something like Roxanne existed.
We could easily say that you all stole ideas from Roshutsu. :DAfter all, the original Roxanne and Rika models ...weren't they from the same "artist"? Vtuber1 I think?

Maybe you could also add a "Get dressed" mode. That's good too. It's basically like lock out, but you're looking for individual pieces of clothing.

I never said it was a competition either.
Your detailed analysis can have that effect. :D

Those Seleka mechanisms are so good that they need to be ..stolen..But other developers should have improved them or at least "stole" them properly, not made worse versions. I agree that Roxanne is not very user-friendly at this moment.
But otherwise it's on the right track.

for blind mode and lockout mode if u take out your camera and select picture u can see everything normally, the perspective sucks but might be better than total darkness

I don't know if I'm missing something, but how do you unlock the ability to do the key fetch mode? It's locked for me

Damn, people, why don't you read character levels descriptions - all the answers to your questions are listed there.
You can't cause you haven't reached the required level.

For those who are stuck levelling, completing quests, getting EXP or clearing the first map:

You can "flaunt" by clicking the mouse wheel after RMB/LMB. Flaunting only seems to work on certain clothes e.g. the tshirt and gym shorts

"Full Save" for those interested, though technically it's just instructions to edit your own as the game saves it's state in the registry rather than using a save file. (I assume most folks will just search for the word "Save" though).
  1. Make sure to start the game and save at least once to ensure the registry settings you need are created.
  2. Start the registry editor.
    • Press "Start" -> "Run..." in Windows (Or use the Windows key + R) and enter "Regedit.exe" as the program to execute.
  3. In the registry editor navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\UwuDev\Roxanne.
  4. Within this registry key are all of the game's settings.
Now, there are a lot of settings here one can alter and the game will add even more of them as the player unlocks clothing and completes quests. From what i can tell though editing two settings should be enough:
  • PlayerLevel: Set this to the value "5".
  • Gold_h2088709061: Set this to the value "100000"
These settings are effectively the player level (This controls what maps are unlocked and actions one can take) and the players in game currency. Setting it to 100.000 coins should be plenty to buy everything the in-game store currently offers.

After that starting the game and loading your save should give you a max level character and enough money to buy all clothing items using the PC in the starter room.

So I 100% it after couple hours, except for the clothes, cause fuck it. First the game is too easy. Second tasks are shit. Let's be honest even Seleka tasks are awful and rarely are somehow challenging. There so many possible ideas and we stuck on "exibit in a place A". Progress system is awful. There a reason why in most games you don't need to 100% to go to next level. Money system is broken. To earn money you need to press one button and wait in the corner couple minutes, because there no rewards for doing something live and camera is broken af. But prices are very high, you earn like 200 and you NEED a swimsuit to progress and it costs 950. Mall level is broken. Npc get stuck, stores are oversized, map lags and gets brighter with time. Turning off male npcs lowers amount of npcs and gets rid of the employee at the first map. Emotes are awful, since they don't have any in-game meaning aside couple tasks. Masturbation obviously needs reworking. Blindfold mode is a good idea, but not how it implemented. Right now it just forces player to turn on the brightness to max to see anything And most importantly no booba physic (.

Now about what game did right. Finally a normal interface and you don't need to memorize like 10 keybinds. I'm glad to see customization, it obviously needs improvement, but it's here and this game in early stage of development. Detection system is actually good, adds realism, every encounter is a gamble, will they call the cops or won't they? Though it will require thinking since, bodypaint or vibrators from seleka now should work differntly. Different game mods is a great idea. Washing clothes is a good task, at least idea, not how it works now.

Suggestions: Get rid of the mall level at least for now, stop adding new content, programming and sit for couple hours or weeks and think about what gameplay should be in a exhibition game and how to make it actually fun to play. I also suggest abandoning most of the Seleka features, specially gameplay, since Seleka wasn't a good game, it was the only one exhibition game in a 3D, that's all. It wasn't fun to play, it wasn't memorable or something. If not, then don't add new maps and just polish current ones, because I doubt that even 20% of players will go past first couple maps.

I know the quests are quite easy and could more challenging .. but treat it as a sandbox .. make up your own missions .. i know you can farm money by standing in a corner .. but isnt it more fun to pull out the camera in front of the cops and make a run for it .. make the game your own .. I 100% it and still have fun playing it .. Give it a try .. Every version is better than the last .. the devs are doing good ..
