Anyone can post the Patreon version right now and the dev won't do anything about it.

He's not stopping anyone. The dev can't prevent people from posting links in this thread.
But people posting links don't get anything out of it, it's a free service that they do. and nobody has bothered yet because it's a demo and it's probably not worth the effort required.

This site is a piracy site but it also works well as advertising, many people download the game for free and subsequently support the dev via Patreon, Itch or other sites. Piracy cannot be stopped in any way so it is better to know how to live together
For those who have not read the previous messages: I have not uploaded the demo of my game on this site, it was an administrator, the real game costs 5 € and has everything unlocked and will be updated constantly. I don't know if anyone will ever upload the version of Patreon here but anyway every 3 version I will give one for free

Do you mean to say that when Patrons finally get 0.0.3, non-funders get a fully unlocked version of 0.0.1?
And what happens by the time they get 0.0.6, freeloaders get... what, 0.0.2? Or some later version at your discretion?
Wouldn't it be more economically sound if you simply staggered the Patron and free releases by a fixed time period? Either:
- based on release number (free releases are always delayed by 1-2 versions, i.e.: they get 0.0.5, we get 0.0.3); or
- based on a fixed time schedule (0.0.1 is free for all, then 0.0.2 drops for Patrons, and we get it free 2-3 months later)?

Update: I'll apologize for my comment. While I thought the dev's comments here made sense at the time I didn't read the actual game page on itch. There he says "When the third update of Roxanne (0.4) comes out, the first version will be released for free." which makes no damn sense. If he means 0.1 then that's a terrible model. I still think people were too hostile but I didn't help the situation.

I was just using those games as an example, I didn't think it was that difficult to interpret his original comments. Perhaps uwuzaki's not the one with a language barrier. I don't see why everyone is so impatient, it was only a week between the update and someone posting the patreon version.

also dev i really like the potential and where this game is going but like everyone else has said the demo sucks and is making people think your game is really bad. i tried the demo and hated it, and only came back to retry the leaked version because sereka is my favorite game and im desperate while waiting for that. the full game has lots more to do and shows off a lot more progress then what it looks like you have in the demo so you really should just publically release that and then not do a free version until 0.5 or whatever your original plan was so you can still get money from it

The demo is just a techdemo, the game is really 'heavy' and a lot of user (including myself) reported low FPS in some situation and with some graphic setting, i created the demo to let people test the game, it is not a real demo.
