Thats odd, have you run the app before? Look in ~/Library/Application Support/RPGM-Launcher/ and see if there is anything there.

it's not showing anything at all. whenever I go to open it, nothing happens. I moved it from downloads to applications before I opened it too. I'm trying to run Urban demons with it but haven't gotten that far to use it. Do I have to put the folder inside it or does it just have me open it within the app?

Try re extracting it but this time keep it in downloads. Then open it.

If it still fails, open up the terminal and tell me the output of the following command:
open ~/Downloads/RPG-Maker-Launcher.app

Glad the app is opening for you now!

As for the game error, it seems the developer uses a lot of custom scripting which is why mkxpz (the interpreter) is getting confused. There could also be a ruby version mismatch.

I can't fix this on my own (I don't know enough ruby) but you can try the remake of the game or ask the group who are more knowledgeable on this.

If you are really desperate, you can try using wine to launch the exe.

Sorry I couldn't really help :(

My man! I didn't yet really do much with this software but seeing Karryn's Prison fire right up on my Apple Silicon Mac with literally ZERO friction is like black magic to me.
Fingers crossed it doesn't drain battery more than natively built apps but even if it does the fact it ran at all is crazy! Legend

For Karryn's Prison the backend should be the same as if it were built natively. However, the game itself is pretty heavy if you have a bunch of mod's loaded.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, where is your pfp from?

thanks for the reply, pretty sure M1 will handle it fairly fine in performance and in not gawk gawking my battery, so here's hoping.
pfp is the voluptuous mikiblue, have fun.

Should work with the launcher. Are you running into any issues?
in some downloads the data folder was missing, i now got a data folder from a compressed file but now i get the error message: " Script 'lang' line 1686: NameError occured. Undefined Method 'name' for class 'RPG::BaseItem'"

Try using the pixeldrain version:

If that doesn't work, then try setting the "RTP" option in the advanced settings to just a pair of double quotes: ""
