RPG Maker MacOS/OSX Launcher

This is a tool that I developed to let MacOS/OSX gamers play most RPG MV, MZ, XP, VX, VX Ace, 2000, and 2003 games natively without the need to manually port each one. Inspired by gulf123 / bakustarver and his Linux launcher.

Development for this app has completed, only bugfixes will be released if needed.

v1.1 has been released with support for apple silicon/arm64 macs!
If there are any issues please post them here or on the GitHub issues page.

Edit: Also added bugfix for package.json encoding issues.

v1.2 has been released!

Changelog:
Added NWJS version selection options for launching the game and during installation.
Fixed bug with missing folders

You can have multiple versions of NWJS saved for when you need it.

FOR ARM64 / Apple Silicon USERS:
You may choose to install an old NWJS version without an arm64 build and run it with rosetta2 however support is not guaranteed as I don't have an Apple Silicon Mac.

v1.4 has been released!

Changelog:
Added a progress bar during NWJS download along with a cancel option.
Added a log.txt to ~/Applications/RPGM-Launcher/log.txt for debug if needed.
Fixed bug where selected NWJS version would be set to oldest one after installing or uninstalling a version.

Changelog:
Remembers last opened Folder/Game
Export game as standalone app button added
Start game button is now separate
A new Icon for the app (old icon and colorless version of icon is available for anyone to use)

may you help me. when I open the app it quits itself, I'm using a apple silicon. am I missing any requirements for the app

There are no requirements.
which version are you using and did you use these instructions to to open the app:

can you open ~/Applications/RPGM-Launcher/log.txt

Nevermind I got it to work, the reason is the RPGM-Launcher folder wasn't in the application folder for some reason, sorry to bother you.

No worries! This actually helps a lot. The program is supposed to create the folders automatically if it cant find them so knowing it doesn't work means I need to fix something.

v1.6 has been released!

Changelog:
Added a toggle for patching games with a cheat menu (Press [1] key to open)
Changed to using ~/Library/Application Support/RPGM-Launcher to prevent possible permission issues
Fixed bug where logfile was being checked before directory creation, causing a crash

Other Notes:
Due to directory change you need to reinstall any NWJS versions, or copy over ~/Applications/RPGM-Launcher to ~/Library/Application Support/RPGM-Launcher
You can delete the old directory at ~/Applications/RPGM-Launcher
Credit to emerladCoder for cheat menu

It is with great sadness that I must announce that my old 2016 macbook pro has finally kicked the bucket. It was already showing signs of failure for a few weeks and I hoped it would at least last till I added mkxp-z support to the app. But alas, it could not make it. I've purchased a refurbished Intel mac mini to continue development and it'll arrive in about a week.

My wallet is feeling a lot lighter now. Donations to help recoup the costs will be greatly appreciated. :HideThePain:

Here's the Karryns Prison Mod Patch if you need it:

Tested game version 1.2.9.85

READ BEFORE PATCHING!!!!!!!!

Mods will need to be installed manually or on a windows machine and transfered.

Mac/OSX users you may need to hold down the option key while copying to merge the folders. I highly recommend you just copy over the files one by one so you don't accidentally delete anything you shouldn't.

Fast Cut Ins may show some errors, press the ignore button.

Linux users you guys probably know what you're doing.

Trying to Launch Futa Concoction and getting this error when I load it. Any thoughts on a workaround/fix?

it's because the cheat menu patch is semi permanent for now. I still need to figure out a reliable way of removing it.
