I know this is only for mac and osx but im just wondering id theres a way to run rpgm on my iphone? Im running the rpgviewer on app store but it has full of bugs and cant run most of the games, would appreciate the help

Nope, no plans for iOS. Apple has made it too hard on iOS and I'm not paying them money for a dev account.

That game isn't made using rpg maker. This tool doesn't work with it.

Try opening up Game.ini and adding the following line at the bottom:
RTP=RPGVXAce

It actually depends on the game. I'm developing a better way to determine which version is needed.

This is a known issue with mkxp-z you can only wait for a fix.

In my experience its usually older Japanese titles, so older versions of the engine if that helps.

If that's not the problem, please tell me if you are using an intel or m series mac, what version of the launcher you are using, and if there are any errors that pop up.

If you can, also look in ~/Library/Application Support/RPGM-Launcher
and tell me what files are in there.

Try looking in ~/Library/Application Support/RPGM-Launcher
look for a file called log.txt
If you find it, open it with a text editor and put the contents here so I can see the problem.

If you want, you can also try deleting the RPGM-Launcher folder and then try to open the app.

Found the issue. The archive for some reason has weird permissions attached its contents. A more permanent fix is on the way, but for now you need to use the terminal to fix it.


Here are the commands, I assume you have the game extracted to the Downloads folder, but if it's not in there, just change the path in the command or just move it to the Downloads folder:

cd ~/"Downloads/MAMAsans v1.00/MAMAsans v1.00/"

chmod -R 777 *

Then try reopening the game with the launcher.

Does anyone have a workaround for VXAce / MKXP-Z games that have Japanese text in their image files? For some reason, I think MKXP-Z doesn't properly interpret the extension for these files which is causing some issues.

Bug: Occurs when walking into specific areas. Similar issues occur when certain fights start
Important note: This bug does not occur when launching with Wine. Wine does run a lot slower though, so I prefer the launcher you created.
