RPGVXAce Alphabet and number keys not working

Hi, recently I had the urge to play old games like the rpg ones, so I thought of downloading "Urban Demons". Since I had played it before I knew what the controls were so I jumped right through, but after a certain point in game where it said that "Q" should be used in order to access a menu, I couldn't do it. I thought that maybe it was because of my keyboard since it was old and thought of buying a new one nevertheless since some keys were needed to be pressed hard to be registered anyway. I plugged the new one (same brand logitech as previous one). But still couldn't use the alphabet keys in game. I checked and I found out that I could access function keys, both enter keys, space and escape but I just couldn't get the other limited alphabet keys to work. I tried a virtual keyboard just in case, but it was also acting same. I tried playing "Bones' Tales" since it used the same engine and it also had the same problem. I know that its the game engine problem by now but I don't know how to solve it. Can someone please help me?

Maybe it could have something to do with your input settings.

Press F1 in-game and it should open a configuration window, select the Keyboard tab and click "reset". That should do it!

I thought about this too, after reading a few questions asked by some users. I thought that maybe the input could be messed up or something, so I tried it but still the problem persisted. I even uninstalled the RPGVX Ace and reinstalled it but it still didn't solve the problem. Have I downloaded something wrong that's affecting me?
