Hello,
This is my first thread and I am sorry if my english is bad.

I want to learn about daz studio as a hobbyist (or perhaps for side job) and now I confused to choose between those GPU.

Options:
1) Inno3D RTX 2060 6GB
2) Inno3D GTX 1070 Ti 8GB

My setup:
* Asrock A320M HDV R4.0
* Ryzen 5 2600
* Vgen Tsunami 2x4gb 2666mhz
* Antec VP 500W Plus

Thank you,

Hi there,
Welcome to the forum! :)
The RTX has features that the GTX doesn't, the main difference is that the RTX has faster RAM.
Have a look at this article for the main differences -

Ah I am sorry, its not 8gb but 6gb in RTX 2060.
I read any comments, many of them suggest me to buy at least the 8gb version (6gb is not enough).

I am really newbie in Daz Studio.

the Inno3D seems to be really pricey, I'd look for another brand.
Yes 8gb is better, but not necessary. I'd look for a 2070 Super, they don't cost much more then the 2060, but are worth the buck. They not only have 8gb, but also have more cuda cores, which means faster rendering (and that's the most important thing in rendering).

Thank you for the suggestion.
Perhaps I can take other brand like Zotac or Palit.

I can't afford to buy 2070, the best that I can get right now is gtx 1070 ti or rtx 2060.

My plan right now is purchase one of those gpus and then 6-8 month later upgrade the gpu to 2070.

If you aren't in a hurry, wait until the new 30xx series comes out, even if you don't buy a card of that new series for sure it will have an impact on the prices of the 20xx and 10xx series :p

I'd say GTX 1070Ti, it has more TMU's, ROP's, shaders and more VRAM for rendering, but I'm just old-fashioned. :)

As it appears from the lower post RTX features are used and 2060 blows 1070 Ti out of the water....my bad. :)

RTX 2060 > GTX 1070ti

Difference should be larger today as almost all Iray update are RTX ones.
Having said that I would wait for any RTX card with at least 8Go, imho both cards don't worth the money.

If you wait untill after September the card prices should go down cause the 30 series are coming out
