not even once did it Unkomorimori actively pull off all his work from DLsite, it's DLsite that got forced to hide all what the western consider as no-no, that being school uniform which all of girl in the guy works wear
to see it you need to access DLsite in JP IP, that's about it
as for Steam, dev failed to pass Steam check and so it got pulled off

It goes up to the lion boss which honestly is fine, I think they said that it would be updated monthly... might be wrong on that one because they might have been talking about the other version that you needed a sub for.

I downloaded the latest version of the latest game, and I'm not noticing anything actually being different. There is no Kappa enemy or anything else. Maybe it screwed something up that I transferred my old saves from Feb.

No they removed everything after the lion boss, nothings missing they just don't have that in the current 'free' version of the game.

just beat repeat some old dungeons to pass days, do it a couple of times and the story eventually progresses.
