Well another good chunk of progress is made, the additional time-slot is added and the validation structures etc. are in place.
It'll be pretty much creative writing and sprite generation from here on out.

But I'm home free on creative writing and sprite generation now
Next session I'll make all the Pajama Ruby sprites and get them into the game, along with HOPEFULLY the first night-time visit.
Anyhoo, given that's the plan, have a scared and tied up pajama ruby!

Hello wonderful, patient, people

This should be the LAST contentless update for a bit (I hope).
All that's left to do now is write out and animate the skits, and that's not quick, but it is the kind of thing I can pace out into smaller updates on a skit/week basis and you lovely people can help me test by enjoying some Ruby time

And speaking of this week's Ruby, she's one of the 361 images I spent today generating and/or refining to get our next hit of 13 skit sprites and the 3 new NSFW images being added with the update.

Generative image creation isn't hard work, not in the same way actually being creative or making art is, but it can be a slog of time and effort.
And I'm hoping these assets represent a slight improvement over the phase one and phase 2 ones (not least in part because I feel like good, artist created, art is what's going to make this project really worthwhile and I wanted something that showed the potential a bit more).

Anyway, here's a Ruby who didn't make the cut!
I wonder what will happen to her in the Devlog as a price of her failure?

I'm sick, not "how could I write this smut!!?!?!" sick don't panic.
But I am too sick to write smut, my brain's basically mush.
Been sick since Friday (and mute, thanks to whatever this is so at least the wife hasn't had to hear me complaining about it like the man-flu baby I am) and I'm just too out of the zone.
Been sat in front of this computer 90mins trying and all I've managed is a couple of structural changes you'll never notice and some tidying up in the place-holders for the later levels of event.

Long story short I'm making my excuses and falling down.
I'll try to catch up during an evening or two when I'm better so I don't fall too far behind. I really wanna drop the completed demo before I vanish for a month mid-September.

For now though it's Lemsip, strepsils, and shoju anime until I'm up to it.

BUT it's over, I'm all healed up, and all the creative writing for the first Trust Milestone (4 variations) is done.
Unfortunately it's too buggy to even upload a bughunt version, and I've been at this computer for 9 hours.
SO no update again , TODAY.
But i'm gonna bughunt this until it's ready to drop in my free time this week.
The great part is that all the game breaking bugs will be duplicated into the Punishment, Horniness, and Masochism sections.
So this Bughunt should fix all but the niggling issues in them ahead of their creative content

Ruby will come see you at night time if you sit up and read your book.
We've got a night time visit which activates a milestone for her Trust to rise above 25, and placeholder buttons for all the other milestones.

Ruby's night time visit on Tuesdays has 4 variations, depending on how horny, submissive, and masochistic Ruby is.
You can replay the event on on Tuesdays and that will let you try all of these out by raising Ruby's Horniness and/or Punishment over her Trust (the more erotic her spankings are as you do this, the more likely she'll be to do horny subby stuff).

Fair question.

It was very specifically because I personally find the idea of all things loli deeply unpleasant.

The setting, and parodied content, requires her to be younger (and tbh far younger than I'd be personally ever feel comfortable thinking of sexually IRL. Because I'm, simply put, too old to in my opinion).

But, for me, the idea of having an under 18 character sexualised for adult eyes in something I read, play or watch is violently repellant and enough to make me disengage with that content entirely. So there was no way I could write it.

In much the same way the intro is designed to make it abundantly clear that, regardless of your in-game actions, the characters are all enganged in informed and consenting play.

Because while acting out mutally agreed scenarios which simulate experimenting with the boundaries of consent, where it's fun play for all the parties involved, is hot as hell.
Without is frankly appalling and I'll have no truck with it.

3 variations of getting ruby off;

Well it's another update!

This new version includes a spanky visit to the bedroom for a Masochistic Ruby, who can get VERY embarrassed about how much she enjoys it if she's not horny enough when she instigates the encounter.

For a "Masochism" visit this can get surprisingly sentimental. I blame listening to the 20th anniversary Dearly Beloved collection while I was writing.

In Regards to your poll... I hate paywalls with a monthly subscription and rarely exceed $20 on a game I am in support of. That said I don't mind paying a 1 time purchase of a game I support say from itch.io or maybe steam (I don't do NSFW on steam most of the time) however many devs make a decent living with a hold back release schedule of 1 month and a patreon (or suscribestar) bonus of pics or animations with the proviso (rule) that this bonus will stop in future if a patron releases them publicly. Many people are more likely to provide a monthly support just for earlier access to your game.

See to me, it all feels soul-less.
I'd rather have something a bit scruffier and/or scrappier that feels like a person made it.
Maybe one day an AI picture will pop up and I'll be like "huh, that feels like a human made it", but right now (self deluding or not) I feel like I can feel the emptiness of an AI creation.

Also, sidenote, I actively WANT to support a traditional artist and NOT some platform that only exists because it stirs the work of actual artists into a grey slurry and vomits it back into existence for corporate profits.
Not the least motivator being because without them the whole creative field will be flooded with derivatives of derivatives, the "Concord" of porn, able to assemble the constituent parts but not understanding why they go together or how to make them go together well.
That might be a bit of high-handed attitude for an overweight robot making a porn game, but there it is.
