Nothing much new this week.
Been tweaking some dialogue stuff in continued response to Patreon feedback.
But it's not a big enough tweak to upload.

A week of background work on stats stuff.
I'm trying to build in a feedback mechanism or two now we're not just essentially trying to get to a place where it feels more significant to get Ruby into sexual situations.
By the time we get to our first blowjob we may have more visible stats on display, until I can find a way to make some more poppy visual feedback going on.

The intended three pillars will be;
Dynamic responses to being spanked based on her enjoyment of pain and the amount of pain she's already in.
- That means her level of spanking and her masochism will combine to give us some feedback to the spankings, only increasing her horniness when she isn't badly hurt.
Dynamic responses to orgasms
- Reducing her horniness when she cums, so that she doesn't stay constantly horny.
Scaling levels of sexual experience
- More in-depth acts unlocking increasingly advanced sex acts, but importantly this should allow players to skip steps. If we want an anal only slave, for example, we should be able to keep Ruby's "innocence" intact.

Now that's going to mean a bog update to the back-end, and it'll dovetail with the CNC stuff too, so it makes sense to do that too.

That being the case I'm gonna get a nice genteel and caring gym blowjob done, for the fun of it, and then on to more structural stuff.

It's not exciting to get a no content post, but it is progress underway.

Finally got HALF a day of coding in between builders, DIY, sorting the internet (still on what is affectionally known as "Coalition Broadband" here in Aus until at least August ), job-hunting, and trying to put the house back together (we now have only 2 rooms left to unpack).

All the structural stuff for a gentle blowjob is done, and the first gating mechanisms with it!

Now progress for everything but butt-jobs and CNC will be locked behind bedroom visits.
It doesn't matter which visit you get, once any stat hits a progress milestone you'll unlock the next sex act.
BUT the tone you do it at will be locked by which stats you progress.
For example, if you drive Ruby's Punishment right the way up to 100 you'll have unlocked all the sex acts.
But if her trust is lower she'll only do "nice" sex acts up to that threshold, and you'll have to be mean with her.

CNC will still allow you to force whatever you want from Ruby, but lock her progress entirely unless you re-earn her trust or break her will.

I'll do the creative writing for the gentle BJ next session, and then plug that into the game.
So should be a content update next week :O!

I've also reached out to DK for a quote for the art for the GYM BJs, with $80USD sitting in the patreon we'll see what can be done (plus my contribution, but I've just got slapped with a HUGE pile of post-move costs as we get the house up to scratch so money's tight).
Then I'll roll out all the wider structural stuff, before finishing gym BJs.
And hopefully that will time up nicely with having enough money to pay DK for the Study art for the same

Well a little progress made.

But we're on the way to it, and thanks to DK'd going above and beyond on this commission I have all the materials I need for a VERY basic BJ animation too!

Still no update. Sorry.
This isn't a massive extra part I'm working on really, but all the post-move stuff is piling up and today was the first time in 2 weeks I've really been able to sit down and lean in on some work on the game.
And with good results, I'm about 80% of the way through the "mutually enjoyable" BJ stuff, with a load of variations for her level of enthusiasm and experience.
Even managed to work in a couple of nice little jokes.
Took some of the earlier feedback about repetition to heart and have added randomisers to some of the dialogue too, but then of course that means writing extra dialogue.
Also STILL stuck on slow internet, because heaven forfend my ISP should keep their promises (or not just randomly cancel my upgrade without sodding telling me, leaving me to spend a whole day becoming increasingly irate with people variously not understanding what was going on, not knowing how to help, and trying to sell me an inferior service I repeatedly and expressly refused).

Still, next chance for a full day session like today and I should be able to test and polish this content, add ejaculation, and roll out a small update at last!

I think I have an evil puritan ghost that hates sexy times or something.

None the less, that temper-tantrum induced loss of core processing functiosn over, code's compiling and the tests are mostly promising.
The animations themselves are pretty solid, and the art really works for this kind of simple 2-frame fading animation, but I've borked the ejaculations so they've somehow ended up overlapping with them rather than replacing them.
Resulting in a multiple, some animated-some not, Rubys trying to occupy the same space.

Anyway, I'm now in the testing phase I can tell that the rebalance has made progress to grindy again too.
So it looks like I'm going to have to re-tweak that a smidge.

I'm gutted not to drop an update, but it would have been trash tier, and at very least I can say I'm miles closer after today

So here's a butt, I may have mentioned that Nora is probably my favourite character the show has to offer.
Criminally under-used, a perfect blend of damaged, indomitable, fun, sad, vulnerable, and kick-ass.

well DUH. i strongly suggest you have some cheap thumb drive, external HDD or the likes, and shove the whole project folder including whatever else important onto that, just a copy, at the end of the day, each day. it's some bucks for that drive and maybe an hour for the backup copy, but it really pays off in the end.

FINALLY
I've done enough preliminary testing to feel comfortable that this update is worthy of the name and upload!

So, what's new?
Blowjobs!
Ruby can now give you head in the Gym after she's done her first Trust Bedroom Visit.
Currently we can only be nice to her when she does it, but her developing skill at the act will change the scene every couple of times you do it, and a nest of triggers and randomised dialogues mean the experience of every visit until her skills have maxed out should be slightly different (and of course I couldn't resist writing in some gags to go with her.......gags....).
In fact it should be impossible to see every mid-bj skit dialogue in a single playthrough, making repeat play more appealing too.

I've also slightly increased the speed Ruby initially warms up to you (gets horny) doing rewards and gentle punishments which should (along with the skip viewing and quick version options) make things feel less grindy and repetitive during the early game.

It's honestly just great to be back to coding properly after nearly 2 months of delays, disasters, and general frustrations it's fantastic to just be free to work on the game again.

Well the good news there is everything AI is 100% just a placeholder, with real art slowly making its way into the project as budget allows. It is indeed low quality, if you roll back up the thread you'll see it's been something of a running discussion (as I personally do dislike it), therefore it will all one day be gone.

Robe is my favourite.

The low-effort Generative nonsense placeholding for the real art is decidedly mid, but it was knocked out for free over an afternoon and was never meant to stay in the game.
However since the game is being made entirely in my own time and with limited funding (namely a very small number of Patreons helping me pay for the art) it'll be around for a while yet.
With funding as it is I'm commissioning 1 new piece (set of sprites for skits, or pieces for the nsfw stuff) roughly every 2-3 months.
Currently the Patreons pay for about 3/4 of the art costs and I pay the rest.
But the BJ and gym spankings are at least now properly arted and DK has done a sterling job.

Well, found a copy-paste induced bug that caused an old version of the moderate skill bj dialogue to show up, without the randomised content or first/subsequent options to keep the BJ dialogue fresh.

So I've fixed that.

I've also added the more controlling element for gentle gym BJs, which means a mini-update (well it's as much playable content as the last one but it's less "new").

So now that the sample of gym BJs are completed it's onto the structural work to make CNC fully functional.
If I don't sort that out now it'll be a massive workload later, so as dull as it'll be I'm going to focus the next few sessions on building the bones for that.

I'll do my best to build it behind initially locked triggers etc. so that if it takes longer than rolling out DK's next package of art pieces I can get them out into the world without being reliant on all this background hoo-ha being done.
We're about a month or so away from having enough in the account for the next dose though, so we'll see what comes first.
