This game is pretty fun, old school upgrade concepts, the bosses, game mechanics, level design etc...
It is worth a play if you like retro platform games with tight controls & good hitboxes.
The pixel art / animations are pretty good too.
The only downside is the CG art, it's Okish, the style is nice, but it's too much censored compared to other japanese works.
The second department, which would've needed more work is the sound, it is almost non existent, there is some retro music sometimes and a little melody when you get an upgrade, it fits well for the retro aspect, and isn't annoying if you just play for fun / challenge, but it would've added lots of quality to the game if it was more complete.
Overall a great game, would play again.
