VN - Ren'Py - Completed - SandStorm (EraStorm Saga #1) [v2.01] [GleenX Studio]

I like where this is going, it is early in the game, but great renders, beautiful girls and a - potentially - great story.

love the unique arabic setting, and novel story. some grammatical mistakes and the dialogues would rather fit to teens than to mid-twenty year olds, but overall not a bad start.

I played until before visiting the second temple.
Game goes too fast. Things just happening too fast. Story should advance slower with more explanations. The mystic stuff is ok, but everything is just going too fast. That is why I stopped playing. Acting of the main characters is just wrong. Visiting Egypt and old historic stuff, while dressing like hookers, keep talking naughty stuff. There is some strangeness that is not taken really seriously. Sorry, but the things just do not match here.

Renders and graphics are well above average and safe to say what will be the things that draw you to the game and keep you hooked for the foreseeable future. There are however a couple things though that has been mentioned that prevent me from giving a full rating.

The dialogue between the MC and Julian is just obnoxious, and I mean OBNOXIOUS all caps. It's more so with Julian but they have the rhetoric of some elementary/middle schoolers that just found out what porn was and now plan on banging whatever hot chick they see. There's being rough around the edges and then there's being a complete douche nozzle....but I stray too far

The dialogue itself needs quite a bit of proofreading but I still understand the gist of it and understand that beginning scripts are usually rough so I don't give it as much weight. The animations that are there are okay but a little janky with the fluidity, especially when it came to the sit-com introductions of each character

It's all in all a pretty visually appealing VN that promises to give us quite a few twists and turns down the road. It just needs a little polishing

This game seem to become a great one. The story is really exotic. The relationship between the MC and the non-player characters develop slowly and natural. Many choices allow the player to make an unique story. The graphic is top and all ladies are hot. The game is more an adventure story with erotic elements, then a simple fap game. Do not await many sex scenes in the beginning. I do like this game so far a lot. 5 of 5 stars. Looking forward to play many more updates...

There's the start of something that can be good:
- The models are good looking, not too exaggerated
- The story is interesting and original, with the backing of Egypt's history and mythology
So why 3 stars?
Well, it's just that the dialogue it's very bad. MC and his friend, although being around 25-28 year old talk and act like 13 year old boys ("Bruh, those titties, huh..." "Yeah, look at that double masturbation pose"). It's very cringe-worthy and it takes a LOT of the novel. This bothered me so much that I was originally intending to give only 1 star. But I thought that it's unfair, since there are positive points. It's just that the bad ones are really really bad.
So the characters either don't act their age or like they should be. Other examples of this would be MC's friend and her boyfriend should be in a relationship for 5 years. Anyone that has been in a relationship that long knows that although there's problems it's nothing as juvenile as it happens in the novel.
And then there's Maddie, which should be recovering of a bad breakup that happened just last week. And... Nothing. She shows nothing AT ALL and just act like the secret-agent-encyclopedia to explain things to the oblivious player.
It was brought to my attention that this had a reason to be and it was intentional. But I do stand by the criticism of juvenile behavior of most characters and I hope the developer can address this with time later on, since it could be something really great because of the original premise and background (not to mention beautiful renders).

So, TL;DR -> Renders - Good / Story - Good / Characters/Dialogue - Very very bad

Really great game so far! Looking forward what the futre brings. Gotta say though: I wish a little bit more of NTR and corruption would go on. But thats a very personal preference renders are very nice, character design is as well, but I am not a fan of too much mystery and magic in porn games sooo... dont like that aspect too much.

This game is excellent

This game has real potential. Has a rich story-line which gave me a wonderful experience. The game is written well. The dialogue is filled with humorous and funny lines and every character has a unique personality. The game's background is ancient Egypt-based which makes me more excited to see where the story goes. Those perfect BGM's also make the game more enjoyable and more impactful. Render quality is awesome & has a very good collection of models. Really hope this game will be a success.

Suprisingly good humor if a bit too much at times.
Options are all throughout and they really do feel like a choose your own adventure.
Even though the majority is simple stuff the sheer amount makes you feel more engaged than someone clicking a or B.
Rion was best girl until Zaya came into the picture and now there are serious doubts about this game.
I dont want to lose my egyptian queen to the darkside unless there is a Legend of Opala type deal with some replacements for the crazy ones.
Can't wait for the next update.

A game about ancient egypt ? Count me in!

Pros :

• I'm a sucker for this kind of story and i am not disappointed from what i have seen in episode 1. A game about ancient history and a love squirrel ? a great game in the making for sure!
• I like the character, their models are unique especially the MC. it is great to see a new fresh model of the MC. The girls ? pretty and lovable especially Rion, i will definitely try to get her The dev teases us that there will be a new LI in v0.3, can't wait for that.
• There are scenes available already, but i have to say the quality is subpar at least for me, not that good but not that bad either. I hope they will improve it
• Loving the system here, it is somewhat NTR because if we focused on one LI, the other LIs will have fun with someone else, really realistic just like in real life. Personally i don't mind seeing the scene where other LIs having fun with other people, I love NTR when it is a good one
• YOUR CHOICE DOES MATTER!! BE CAUTIOUS

I am hooked, the story has so much potential and i'd like to see where story take us.

Hoping they improve the steamy scene quality in the future. Sucks to see a VN like this have a subpar steamy scenes quality.

A very decent game with a griping Egypt-mythology themed plot. Perfect for those who want a straightforward choice dependent game with a good story and different parts depending on your choices.

Game-play: 4/5
So far the gameplay is rather good. Here we have a Game that actually is choice driven, where you have to analyse which options will lead to which outcome. It's all very well arranged and at the end you see how much you scored with each girl. I did stumble upon one non-fatal error where
A required picture couldn't be found, however everything continued smoothly afterwards.

Renders: 3.5/5
The renders in their current state are slightly above average in my opinion. The models are rather standard DAZ models and the background in some cases seems to be based on pictures rather then modeling. Sometimes this works really well, here it all clashes a bit, the pictures bring out the artificiality of the DAZ models. However as this seems to be a first release i think the quality here will improve over time.

Good English, Characters speak like normal humans though they don't always seem like they are the brightest candles on the cake, so to speak.

I really do hope the Dev will continue with this project, so I'll upgrade this to 5 as I know there is definitely potential for that here.
