Still working on it. Still to be fair, OnEdge has stated that he does not check Discord anymore since it's mostly people complaining which is causing more stress.
This implies he is working hard on it. Make up your own mind but at least according to the dev this is still being worked on.
Personally I am disappointed and have lost quite a bit of hope since we are not talking about a full release but merely about 1 PHASE of the game... if this speed continues it will take about 10 years before the wife actually has sex with someone else.

He always says: "i'm improving the code", "i have a problema with the code and i change it", "the code for X and Y stuff dont like me so i'm changing the code", "i spent the last 3 weeks making some icons in a way that taste better", "i'm working on the game, is going to be release soon so wait up, if you dont want to wait is your problem, not mine"....
I always read the discord and what he write, and i can see more truth in some swindler than him. Even pyramid scheme seem more trutfull that his words. He started the game like a way to release stress from his main game, "Onedge" (or whatever is called), but never release nothing in both game, so yeah; if this speed continues the game will be released beteween 10-20 years if is released.
I personally believe him. If he had been lying, he could have come up with smarter lies. He even backed up some of his "reworks" with many screenshots. I think his decision-making is stupid. Instead of trying to release a "base" version of the game with a decent amount of content he went the extra mile, feature crept, which caused the next update to take like 3+ years. That's just dumb decision-making. Anyway, it's too late. At least according to him, 90% or so was finished (months ago), so it shouldn't take much longer. He posted a graph where he was showing what needed to be done and what was completed.
He hurt himself because his game had some great potential. Even if he releases the update now, do people really want to invest in a game that may need another 3 years for the next update? I doubt it.

I dont think he is lying to string people along, hes not really even makin any money. I think he is just stun lock in being a perfectionist and that has its own problems. Just seems the type that needs to not read comments and just keep workin at his own pace and we will have it eventually.

Personally I agree with some of what has been stated. The game had ton of potential, and I do believe he was working on it as he did show screenshot proof of some new content and also stated it will take a long time as the game isn't a priority. However at this rate he should've released the 90% done update as is, as years for an UPDATE is just too much. I still think the game could be great, but the development time is too much. And I try not to hate on development time, as I try to be supportive of developers, but this. . . isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
Maybe aside from being a perfectionist, he's also not too sure how to progress with the game? Writer's block is real, but I just again wish he stated that. I'm sure plenty of people would have volunteered to give ideas back then as there was a lot of excitement due to the potential. Said potential has remained untapped and it seems like it may stay that way. . .

Closed down my failing business, got engaged, broke up the engagement, welp...that is a decade down the drain, took care of my dying mother, zeroed my bank accounts in the process, got a nice work from home job, company went bankrupt, took another job. Zeroing my bank account got to me, been saving like crazy so that never fucking happens again. I am well paid but I despise most of it. Thought I'd have a nice peaceful wank, but seems like my best bet is checking out new stuff on dlsite with machine poetry cause this game is going nowhere.
