Such a good VN!! Extremely vivid and twisted horror/love story. Really enjoy the erotic horror genre and found myself cheering for canibals by the end. didnt see that coming. And now all I want is to see what Saya really looks like!!

So I liked how messed up and horrory it was... but on the other hand there just was far too few choices and decisions to make so I ultimately remember this one as kinda boring me throughout. Though I feel my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt as I've kinda learned that Japanese VNs just aren't for me and they all end up feeling like this... but ultimately I was real disappointed when playing it.

It's a classic, a must read. There not really anything else like it so it's definitely worth checking out. I honestly don't even remember if the porn was good or not, not really the reason someone would decide to read this.

A beautiful tale of a man stuck in another world within ours. A world he still clings onto, for this desert of a world also harbors the most intrinsic individual in his life, a life more important to him than his. But, this does not come without tragic consequences...

This one is a bit unusual compared to the other VN's I've tried when it comes to theme/story, but it executes it so fantastically well. One to stick with you for sure, perhaps like some kind of gooey, slimy substance...

This is the greatest Mindf*** Visual Novel of all time IMO, with an excellent atmosphere, incredible story (Its story is sad, fascinating, disgusting, tons of different emotions and almost all at the same time), and an awesome twist of the "beautiful heroine" archetype, and it achieves all that within a less than 4 hours total playing time to boot. a short VN to be finished in a night that you don't intend to sleep in, as it would ensure that

PS: I have a friend that I recommended this game to, and he literally quit in the middle of the very first scene of the game! Not even exaggerating here. He saw the 1st scene and "nope"d out in the middle of it because he was so disturbed by it. and he knew going in that it was a mindf*** game even! Kept teasing him about that for awhile after .

A classic that manages to blend shocking visual imagery with a depressing, yet hauntingly beautiful story. Truly one of the best Horror VN's out there, and it still holds up. Also has an amazing soundtrack. Saya no Uta is a game I can remember vividly to this day, years after playing it. That's how powerful it is.

I'm not normally a fan of VN's that only have a few choices (this has a total of 2, but that turns into 3 different stories/outcomes) but the stories are so good and well made that I didn't mind here at all.

The MC is not a typical anime/hentai game guy, he actually has a personality, and is more of an anti-hero in the way he sees people around him and how he acts, but is by no means just evil, he has some depth that's interesting to see progress.

The story is great, I was interested start to finish, as an impatient guy, I find myself skipping boring bits of most VNs but I did not do that once here, it was totally gripping and each line of the story is relevent and adds something to immersion and enjoyment.

While it's not the best or most exciting game, it's for sure an experience that's more than worth it, I am happy that I got to see this story unfold, and ended up seeing all 3 outcomes.

The sex scenes involve rape and monster-y stuff or just normal, concentual sex, but there are not many of them, I did enjoy the few it offered though.

If you're looking for an immersive and interesting story, that focuses more on the morbid mystery case. Then this is a great choice.

Length of this is something around 2-3 hours, closer to 3-4 if you check out all paths, witch are easy to navigate back to with just a quick save.

Well developed story, interesting plotline with an anti-hero protagonist, and a good drawing style — all this makes this game not shameful to recommend to others in the right circumstances even outside of the main target audience.
