I've been sober since my 18th birthday, after a pretty rough teenhood. Playing this game is the closest I've ever come to starting to drink again.
By the 99th time that I've had to repeat the 1st level (is it even levels?) without even getting close to finishing the boss, with no checkpoint, having to collect all the equipment again, the sexual tension between me and the liquor store was so high I could smell the whiskey. Surely higher than the sexual tension of whatever is going on on screen - don't worry, we'll get there. And don't you dare say "skill issue," there's a difference between something being hard yet compelling and something being just annoying. In hindsight, getting shitfaced would've done better for my health than playing this thing for two hours.
No way to realistically recover the HP you lose to every dumb spike/arrow mechanic (everyone's beloved mechanic in hentai side-scrollers, right?), no way to recover mana, the combat is meh at best, the default controls are ret4rded and counterintuitive, and, for the actual porn... God, don't even get me started, lol.
The scenes are few and far between, mostly boring lesbian 2-3 second scenes with a strapon, where you have to play some stupid timing mini-game to get more currency. The way that happens is also unreliably random: either you (randomly) drop and equip the spell to "seduce" and hit the enemy with it, or hope for the 1% of the cases where the enemy submits spontaneously instead of straight-up disappearing. Bro, just make a run or rape or let me fuck every downed enemy, 'kay?
Whoever thought this kind of gameplay was a good idea? Is it a lazy way to pretend your game has more content than it actually does? I'm asking because I'm starting to think that, even after defeating the first boss, assuming I even get there without quitting, I'm gonna just see the same 3-4 enemies and mechanics all over again.
And yet, 44 votes, sitting at 3 and a half stars. What a joke. Are y'all really so starved for (pseudo)futa content? Go play Seals of Lutellaria, then.

Unfortunately as a futa enjoyer... yes, we're starved for quality content and the uptick in ai only ensures more fillerware will flood the site rather then the perfect dish we're hoping for.

That's a problem we're all facing. AI "art" looks all the same and allows creatively-impaired twats to push out ez slop with no gameplay or story that will inevitably flood the site.
It's kinda like what happened with Illusion, DAZ, VaM, and similar 3D posing software that require little to no skill to produce a series of endless screenshots (ah, sorry, I meant rEnDeRs) and repetitive animations, and then slap all that shit into a mind-numbingly boring RPGM or VN where the characters all look like cheap inflatable dolls.
Hence why I always put 3D and AI as negative tags.
Eh. If only it had more and better porn, more variety, then I guess I wouldn't mind too much.

I'm just saying. I think that's the main reason the game is highly rated. the porn may be lacking but the gameplay is responsive and well done. Rogue Legacy is a beloved well made game and this is just that with degeneracy
