New update gives you asthma, anemia, and 2 years chemotherapy. You can't attack more than 4 times. Awful. Hate it. Remove it. The stamina system already works.
Enemies dodging is good to stop you from stunlocking but bad when you get 4 attacks maximum anyways and you swing weapons like you're 70 years old.

Dev said he did this this to make AI fights look better but I think the solution is obvious- Make consecutive hits build up dodge chance +briefly increase attack-speed/AI level as a 'punish'. You don't slow down, they speed up. This keeps fights intense and more intimate than literally taking turns hitting and blocking.
Also makes it so you can combo, parry, combo an enemy if you're good enough. (+dex actually does something now). You can make the dodge animation slightly space them back if you don't want it to feel too super Saiyan.

There's just no way to get around the slowdown feeling awful. If you keep it maybe remove it from the player and enemies targeting the player.

Thanks for the feedback. Just FYI there is a system similar to "consecutive hits build up dodge chance" and the attack slow down comes afterwards as a notice to the player, and to get them to stop attacking and wait.

Some of the inspirations for this game comes from rimworld and turnbased game like elin and caves of qud, so the taking turns hitting and blocking is at least somewhat intentional. Although it is also true that excessive downtime for player can feel like shit.

I'm just curious if an X-Box Controller will work and any control settings advice will be helpful. I usually lay down on my side when I play so I have trouble using my keyboard. Wondering also if an auto setting could be made like HR2 where you train you fighter and watch as they explore the naughty dungeon.

You can use

As for auto settings, auto fight: do-able, auto explore: less so.

I'll answer with a question. How an imported character from a heavy modded game can work properly into an unmodded game?
Even if you put that many mods it could be not working properly.
