I wasn't impressed with either story path, whether Love or Hate to be honest. Towards the middle of the series this game started losing steam and it never seemed to recover, once the love and hate path started to mesh there really wasn't more to do.The rush endings didn't help also overall I felt this was done poorly. The Derek character was pitiful, he was a doormat, the wife of the marriage... just pretty much a beta. I felt bad for the poor bastard . The Love and Hate path started off as a good idea but as I mentioned quickly lost it's appeal. One thing that stood out the most on both paths was Nicole's treated of Derek. She bitched him out on both paths and developed a sort of obsession for the MC.

Chloe losing her virginity in a rushed fashion was probably the biggest let down. I would've preferred it didn't happened versus this forced, last minute scene. On the Hate path ending he ends up with some sort of harem, gets married and seemed happier versus the Love path ending where other than Nicole he ends up with nothing lol. His father hated him, Derek hates him, he had to move into an apartment, get a random job... Basically the Love ending sucks, also Jess and Carol are even hotter but they've moved on lol. Oh, and Ashley changed her life for the better and moved to the shit state of Texas.

I should have learned my lesson and quit while I was a head.
But no, I just had to keep giving the game a chance. To see whether or not it improves or not.
I did my 2 playthroughs up until the christmas special.
One walk through where I forgave Nicole and one where I didnt.

So basically for those who didn't seem to catch on to the story (because lets face it most guys probably just speed click through the text to get to the lewd parts)
Allow me to give you the basic rundown.

In the beginning you meet your MC who is talking about this broad named Nicole who by description was MC's mentor / role model and a friend of MC's father.
Now MC's mom and dad end up getting divorced and Nicole ends up leaving to do whatever .
Ok now MC starts to talk about how after his parents got divorced his mother would talk about how much she hated Nicole because MC's father cheated on her with Nicole.

Now after however many years you find yourself (for reasons) going to live with Nicole and her family.
At this point you decide if you want to go the route of forgiveness or non forgiveness. (again I did both).

Ok now fast forward a little bit.
Nicole starts fantasizing about getting dicked down by the MC and starts making advances towards him.

Oh by the way did I mention that somehow Nicole is suddenly the MC's mom now?
Hold on I know what you're thinking. You're thinking hey wait a second. in the beginning of the game Nicole was of no relationship to the MC, but all of a sudden she's now the MC's mom?

Now believe me I understand your confusion as to how Nicole goes from being someone whom your mother has expressed great disdain towards and hates because her husband (your pops) cheated on her with to all of a sudden now being your mom.
Well the answer is quite obvious. Nicole is quite clearly some kind of wizzard that can magically be 2 different people at once. No wait maybe she cloned herself so that she could have MC's dad cheat on her with herself. Yeah that's clearly how it happened it makes total sense.
Well either that or somebody in the game is a Schizophrenic.

Now that we got that cleared up lets talk about the play throughs.
Ok so in forgiveness mode Nicole who remember started out not being related to you but now suddenly is your mom starts making advances towards you.
And like the depraved simp that you are you reciprocate her advances until suddenly one day you're in your room and she comes in and you enjoy a nice moment of mutual depravity

Ok now on the non forgiveness route you do everything you can to tell Nicole to kick rocks .
Until suddenly we find ourselves in the same scene as before exept the difference here is that instead of a mutual moment of depravity
Nicole instead proceeds to pretty much rape the MC.
Because how dare he not forgive her for reasons.

Where was I going with all this?
Ah heck I don't even remember anymore .

The writing is base and sophmoric. The graphics are fine. The game is average for what is posted on this site. The team who made this game should have searched out a decent writer. It would have also been nice to have some sound, especially during sex scenes.

Less of a story than a simple wish-fulfillment fantasy. MC gets to fuck a lot, things barrel along, bad people gets their come uppance, MC becomes a hero ... the sex scenes are ok, the models look nice, nothing really out of the ordinary. With more of a script thi could have been quite good. Still, it's finished, unlike so many other games, so I don't want to be overly critical. Worth spending a few hours on I guess.

The dialogue is cringe, the writing is rushed and unbelievably surreal, all the characters are horny by default, you can't choose to avoid Carol and Jessica, the models are ugly and the girls have dead eyes, the situations don't make sense, the story is too dramatic and unrealistic, choices are an illusion, the sex scenes are boring and vapid.
I could go on and on but you get the idea. I can't recommend this game to anyone. Not even the sexual content itself is good.

No real choice-> pretend choice game; with over the top sluty bithes that are all unlikable and there just for sex and a MC that is 99% set to be a op forgiving typical horn dog "teen". #2992

Basically make choice->
game ever so slightly alters scene or at worst "best" just skips a optional sex scene (why is that "best" worst because no matter what you will screw everyone other then 2 minor women at end defeating purpose of rejecting sex which goes to next point).
The choice won't matter because no matter what it will happen likely within 2 scenes (Literally your character and choices can say this: I don't want to have sex with you, we not alike, your just a friend at best, and you weirding me out 2 scenes later she giving you a blowjob and your mc is happy about it all control taken ... OR Reject drug to bad you do drugs this time and even if you do them see previous point....)

Animations are minimal guess that why it not tagged but they ok enough to where I can see the tag being in it, sex graphics yadda yadda are ok not best not worst they ok.

The only 1 thing that matters / you can actually make a impact on is having -1^/+1^ with your mom's idk meter (suppose to be forgiveness or like, but guess what MC .... forgives and loves her no matter what)...

Honestly it had potential fact the choices can be seen as choices (until they are destroyed 2 scenes later) are proof of that.

Think Maker just bit more than he could chew, or maybe it just doesn't truly fit for him like a grape (he has a dog pic assuming he maker and not just uploader).

Originally I was going to give the game 4 Stars... but the whinning and unfair reviews by others forced my hand... to the mods this DOESNT MEAN I am giving it the rating out of spite. I was torn between 4 and 5 stars anyway.

Story 4.5/5 - Its an incest story, plain and simple, a mom-son incest story, if your into non-incest stuff, look elsewhere the game isnt for you. What makes it better for me is the setting, a Mom that abandoned her child, and now comes back seeking forgiveness... which at least in my game I did... as someone that was "given away" I think forgiveness to a parent is DOABLE, unlike most people that wanted to hate the mom because their own parents probably didnt buy them their favorite toy or some edgy shit. (the game is called SECOND CHANCE for F*** Sake, not "HATE MOM, and make her a sub)

Graphics 5/5 - Easily the best part of the game, the models chosen for the games were gorgeous ! The renders well done, and improved over time, nothing to complain about in this category at all.

Characters 4.5/5 - The characters were all good with the exception of the idiot Jock Bully and his stupidass uncle, luckily they both got what they deserved (death and brutally sodomized). The females were all decent to good, but Jessica stole the show with her speech pattern (referring to herself in the 3rd person), all the characters are flawed with some levels of bipolar to them LOL.

Honestly give the game a try if your into incest, you could do much worse than this one. So Congrats to MaksB and Bonghits, they completed a game where many others simply abandon their projects, looking forward to what they will bring us next.

Nice renders and some nice milf sex scenes for a quick fap but the story and dialogues are patheticaly weak and shallow.

As games go on this site it's just another shitty incest clone with diferent assets and a crappy twist on a hackneyed plot. Most folk will enjoy a quick fap on a 1st play but when you look at the core of the game you realise the dev/writer is clueless and can't write a plot for peanuts.

When you compare this to quality adult VN games like Acting Lessons/The Deluca Family/ Milfy City etc it falls flat on its face.

The writting is abysmal, and you're forced into options.

Example?
Being nothing but nasty to "mom," being friendly/understanding to "step sister," ignoring Carol completely...
I still go to the party with Carol and not Ashley, Ashley still hates my guts, I'm still driven to defend "mom," and Carol and her friend still blow me on the porch.

What is the point in choices that mean nothing?
Why give the illusions of paths if you end up with Carol and Jessica no matter what?
Why give the illusion of paths if, even with -25 with "mom," you are still defending her and you are hostile with Ashley?

All of the bizarre, bad writing aside, and total lack of pacing (day 2, and mom is touching herself and wondering if she's fallen for you?), the fact that choices seem to mean nothing ruins the game.

In two days, Ashley goes from stopping you in the hall and whispering, when Brad has walked away, that she knows the truth and will help you, to then demanding Brad help remove you from her life. And why? Because you're locked into being hostile towards her, not covering what she knows, not appreciating her help, etc.
When things blow up and she fights with "mom," and you get her phone, your only option is to delete the picture.
What if you wanted to choose the path of turning "mom" down and following an Ashley route?


Look, the scenario set up is good. The renders are great. The girls are all beautiful.
But if you want a static VN without much choices or branching, make it that. And if you want to allow choices (such as despising "mom" and aiming for low points with her) there needs to be pay off, and branching paths to follow. You can't just force the player back on the track of "you love and protect your mother, for this scenario, because that's all I wanted to write."

Pros:

- good renders

- attractive and diversified models; the mother is particularly good looking, in my opinion

- animations have started on the average side, but the dev has improved them to very good standards throughout this game


Cons:

- characters act weird at times

- writing is a bit robotic


One thing I noticed and one of the reasons for giving it 4 stars was the great improvement the dev has made throughout this game.

I don't know what the author's plans are, but if he plans to make another game, with some improvement on the writing - which should be fairly easy to achieve - I feel that the chances are very high for it to be fantastic.

I will be keeping my eyes open for his future work.

Second Chance is a good game,

The renders are good, the story is basic and simple, there is no music, and animations are not very good though.

The dev has been very stable in the update delivery, so it's a big + for him, compared to the others.

You want a good porn VN with a simple story ? second chance is for you, but it's not a big master piece like Being a DIk, Acting lessons or City of Broken Dreamers, or even less plot-centered and more porn focused games like the visit.

The game is worth playing, and the dev is a honest one.

1. The Animations are quite good and the scenes are more than enough for the current build
2. The story depth is quite deep at times yet the approach is mild towards a few choices considering what you choose.
3. As stated above, the choices that you make in the game heavily affect the story, there are two paths you can follow and that will unravel your strory accordingly
4. The characters are quite interesting, some are kinda basic with not much spotlight on them, whereas some are quite complicated with too much spotlight on them.
5. The updates are regular and hardly have any delay. Some updates are shorter but the Dev always delivers on time with maximum efficiency so no doubt he puts in a lot of effort there

I'm finding it hard to judge this game. I started playing it by making choices I would make. I personally wouldn't forgive the mother without her having a good reason (like the dad beat her or something) or she did everything she could to make it up to me (which she hasn't really all she does is fantasize about the MC or ask for hugs, as if it's that easy to get forgiveness.) I can understand her reasoning for leaving the dad if she fell in love with the other guy but just abandoning the MC too? Not even trying to get shared custody or something? That's scummy but let's move on from that. Both the mother and Ashley seem to have split personalities or something, Ashley will act nice to you one minute then hate you the next no matter how you act with her, then the mother after barely trying to make things up to the MC other then just being nice to him (if you go down the non forgiveness path at least) tries to make a move on him and when he shuts her down just decides "actually I was right to abandon him, he's pathetic and I should just make him my sex slave." That is a massive switch in personality that really just put me off of her in all honesty. I was expecting the mothers route to either be a romantic 1 if you forgive her or she becomes super submissive to the MC to try and get his forgiveness, that makes a lot more sense then her just deciding she was right to abandon him and make him her sex slave instead.

On the plus side the models are great and the story can be ok in parts. I will probably continue playing but only on the "forgiveness" path cause the switch in the non forgiveness path has thrown me right off.

This is probably the most mediocre game here on the site that I enjoyed playing the most.
The reason is that the game, although it has some pretty dark themes, actually feels pretty lighthearted and doesn't take itself too seriously, so I had no problems forgiving the game its flaws, which it definitely has.
The mother in my playthrough for example behaved absolutely crazy. She went from "trying to make up for the past" to "I have to fuck him" to "I'm making him my sex slave" to "I don't deserve him" within minutes. Makes no sense? I agree!
I also liked the way the game handled the whole harem situation. Most harem games try to rationalize the situation by trying to explain why this harem situation is totally believable and failing miserably in the process. Second Chance however is very casual about it and that's great. Sure, the MC is a babe magnet and an extremely skilled lover who can satisfy 5 women in a row but you never reach this uncomfortable level of whorship. (maybe after the rescue, but I hope this is only due to circumstances and not a general switch in tone). It's more like a group of people met, realized they can have a lot of fun by having sex, and just enjoy it. A great approach for a porn game.
Another plus are the girls. You have milfs, teens, big breasts, small breats. And a lot of sex. Very nice.
So although the game defnitely has flaws and is very confusing and non-sensical at times (read other reviews for that) I genuinely enjoyed playing the game. I decided to give the game 4 stars. 3 would be a bit more appropriate but there are many worse games here on the site with a better rating so I decided to give one more.

PS: I also liked that you, as a player, can have a totally relaxed attitude towards the two dads in the game.

I don't like this.
This game is good for masturbate, that's all.
It has good H scene, good render work, good concept.
But the storytelling is a disaster.
Most girls are totally bitches. A mother abandoned her son and want her son's dick years later. A sister without brain. Two drug addicted slut. "A hero reward" is even funny. And their story is too straightforward. Basically "meet a girl, got interested, then fuck".
Surely I know this is just a adult game, but it can be better.

This is a decent VN. The story plot is pretty good, but needs to be refined more. This story is told from multiple perspectives...some first person, some third person...There is too much reference to individuals by name indicating that the translation perhaps needs a bit more work. There are too many black (later) screens...there is usually about 3 or 4, maybe a few more screens before you get a black screen. So, transitions need work. The models are quite nice and the animations is fairly decent. I will continue to watch this for updates, but I've read many much better VNs, but overall, decent try.

Things to know

1. Story-driven game with minimal RPG elements.
2. The game has two main paths so you will need two play-throughs to experience all the content.
3. Will take few hours to finish the whole game without skipping through the unseen dialogue.

Pros

• Beautiful Renders - Obvious one.
• Sex scenes - It's not a cock tease, I.e., it has more than enough sex scenes.
• Animations - Animations are better than average.
• Well-Coded - Wasn't able to find any bug while playing this.
• Impactful Choices - Your choices have a lot of impact towards the direction of the story.

Cons

• Mediocre Story - The story is pretty average with the protagonist being a chick-magnet, which is so strong that he will put even 90s Brad Pitt to shame.
• No Gallery - The non-existence of the gallery makes it harder to know whether or not you missed a sex scene.
• Typos - It has couple of typos.

HOTNESS SCALE: 8.7 out of 10 on the hotness scale.

Conclusion:
Definitely worth a try. The story maybe be average but the sex scenes and the renders make it up for it.

This game had a lot of promise with the unique ability to stay mad at charaters who had justifiably wronged MC(which in these type of games just dosent happen, they are almost always forgiven at the start) but unfortunally like all other games(even through it takes far longer to happen) an eventual sorry is all it takes to forgive things any real life person would never forgive.

MC gets dominated several times and while threatens to do the same, never actually does.

The foced forgiveness makes all of the choices for the still angry route pointless.

Animations are crude but effective and dont get in the way which is a nice change, the writing style is simplistic but still better than reading page after page of filler, art is good but nothing special.
