RPGM - Secret Dawn [v0.16] [Haldane]

So first things first - to adress the elephant in the room - the gameplay - especially in the beginning - is very clunky. Get MTool for this, otherwise forget it (use the teleport on click option to get behind the doors and trigger next stages).

Apart from that, I did enjoy the corruption process very much so far. I love parody NTR games (such as Sword Art Online) and The Hunger Games does offer a very nice NTR and corruption set up.

The story and character development is done quite well so far. The build up and relationship between her boyfriend and her is pictured quite nicely. You can also choose one perspective (boyfriend or Eva), which imo is more of a problem, because the routes are quite different so updates only focus on one route mostly. I would prefer playing the male MC while watching all the inbetween scenes with Eva and this way narrowing the amount of content down on the important scenes (similar to Henteria Chronicles 3).

There seems to be a main antagonist while Eva (the female MC) also needs to fulfill certain quests from other people. Which is a good balance between full one on one NTR and total slutification (aka village whore).

The art is really great, though I would appreciate more cgs and animation.

Now as I said earlier the gameplay is partly horrendous. Especially the games you have to play (again use MTool) and also the restrictions of the engine (fast forward and similar QoL-features are completly missing). This does make the game tedious to play.

If you are okay with such gameplay or are ok skipping it with MTool while still beeing stressed out by the bad functionality of the engine, you will actually experience a very good game with a great corruption/NTR arc so far. Surely not everybodys cup of tea, but for me it does it.

I want to love this game. I love the art. I love the setting. I love the story.

Sadly, what the Dev does with it is a bit of a train wreck.

- The mini games are mostly very challenging, mostly very unfun and mostly too long and too frequent. If you love minigames, make your audience love them too. That's not going to happen here.

- The maps are too big and too empty as seems to be a secret law of RPGM games.

- The quest log is vague and makes you walk across empty maps to find shit you maybe are supposed to do, but you can't really be certain because the Dev thinks this is fun.

- BUT BUT the sex! Surely you get a reward for the slog they put you through? Well, no. There's hardly any H scenes. The build up (if you can even call it that) is still at looking at the heroine in a swim suit (Oooooh! Naughty!)

So, that's your pay off. Have fun!

Honestly i'm surprised how good this game actually looks and plays i thought it wold be more like generic rpgm h game where you just go from character to character just to watch h scene. This is honestly one of the most fun i'v had playing an h game. I enjoyed the story, minigame characters and most importantly the quality of animations. I whish you good luck with this project dev as the only downsides this game currently have is bugs and (imo) unavoidable NTR (didn't know it was a thing untile i read the discription of the game). You have talent and it shows

The potential for an amazing experience is evident, but the game falls short with its minigames. Unfortunately, these minigames are incredibly tedious and repetitive, detracting from the overall enjoyment. While the visuals and storyline are compelling, the lackluster gameplay in these segments makes it hard to stay engaged. With some improvements, this game could truly shine.

The story is currently heavily lacking especially for the male character. Mini games are nothing but massive time sinks that dont really get you any real profit and just pad the run time, seriously an hour of playing brick out in one case. The mini games are also exceptionally poorly balanced. The H content while nice looking is lightly animated to the point of basically being a slide show and rather sparse for an apparently half complete game. Right now id say the game is a waste of time find something else.

The artwork and scenes are very well done and the setting the game has the potential to develop the characters and their story.

The mini-games are interesting and dilute the atmosphere, but in the first versions there were missions not clear and complicated, the developer said that in the future will make mini-games easier.

I do not understand the situation for some reason the developer decided to make a game with two main characters for allowing the moment that updates will have to develop longer and spend more of his time.

I did not find any minuses for the girl, so the game gets 5 stars. Let's look at further development.

I'm giving this game a 3 for now. While the art and setting is amazingly good, and also having a good story, specially for me, a hardcore fan of NTR games, I think the dev did not weight correctly the difficulty of the minigames and how hard it was to figure out how to unlock the scenes and pictures.

Anyone could argue that I'm not good at the game, but it's just that I'm not downloading a porn game to spend 15 minutes doing only one task and having to think about every possibility on how to unlock scenes.

Toning down the difficulty of the minigames and having some kind of tracker for the scenes with tips on how to unlock would boost the QOL of this game massively and I have no doubt it would be a 5 Stars game.
