Even though the dev is obviously working on it, given how long it's been since they've actually released something substantial i think its best it stay as "abandoned" until they actually release something. For all we know they could change courses again and take another few years to deliver

Because if you did you would know that Levy is working on getting something posted to tide people over until the actual update comes out, they haven't figured out what yet but they are looking for a quick bandaid for the content drought.

Currently not yet, though it seems that the next version *might* be coming out in the next month or two. Though that's just me guessing based on what the devs been saying in his updates.

AFAIK, the "Abandoned" tag is automatically placed onto any game that doesn't have an update released in the past eighteen months and isn't flagged as Completed, even if there has been a steady flow of news and even previews for an upcoming version.
