Intros and end of updates are fine, cause it's usually explaining how the game works, and at the end, saying thanks for playing and giving an update to what comes next.I mostly agree, but there are a couple of times when I don't mind. Mainly, when it's a short intro, or the end of an update. I'm pretty sure we aren't usually supposed to mention other games... but I feel like I have to specifically point out the between-chapters moments in My Time With You. They're slightly different but still similar to what I mentioned, which you can often find in games. (Especially the intro. Honestly, I feel like almost everyone does it for an intro, but not nearly as many do to end an update/chapter.)
But here... here you got the dev jumping in the middle of conversations. Like, something is said, and the dev jumps in and says it is foreshadowing. It's like, alright thanks for the spoiler/obviousness. Or when the MC references something, and the dev jumps in to go "Get it? Remember that? etc etc". Or just the dev making a random comment on something being said.
It's just not needed and pulls you out of the story when Devs break the fourth wall. I personally find it annoying.
