Overview:
Seduced in Rio follows the story of a young man burned out from the repetitive grind of serving coffee and handling endless payments at a café. Tired of the monotony, he decides to take a sabbatical year and dive headfirst into the vibrant chaos of Brazil.
In Rio, he hopes to rediscover himself, chase wild experiences, and maybe make some quick money along the way. Between sun-soaked beaches, electrifying parties, and intense new connections, he’ll face choices that shape his path — from deep romance to raw lust, from cultural discovery to unexpected risks.

Looks cool, would definitely prefer the multichoice but still linear path for this type of game tbh
Thanks for the feedback! This first release was more like a test to see if people liked the art style and overall idea. I’m still deciding if the game will be open world (with quests and exploration) or more multi-choice focused.

Actually sounds like the VN version of every guy I met in hostels when I backpacked through South America - except with better lighting and probably fewer bedbugs ;)
Thanks for sharing!

I have to assume there's a popular tutorial out there that uses this exact configuration, because I keep seeing more and more games getting released with the Melkor Mancin style
I don't think you need an exact configuration per se, most likely just a specific checkpoint + maybe a style LORA. Anyway this looks promising and it would be great if pursued in a visual novel format.

From my own observations first time developers doing sandbox open world seldom work out - starts off easy but then the programming and story logic complexity increases exponentially after a few versions and either it gets abandoned or toned down to the point of a VN dressed up as sandbox.

The next releases will most likely focus on a linear story. In the future, as the team grows and the story is more solid, I might add more freedom for the player to visit different locations — but only when it makes sense and is manageable. Thanks a lot for your thoughtful feedback!

Could go hard if it actually features some brazilian/Rio core visuals/characters.
It’s actually a lot of work to merge Brazilian culture with a more Western (North American) vibe so the reader feels comfortable and connected. Including places like Copacabana, Ipanema, the beaches, or the favelas of Rio in the very first release would be a huge effort, and I wasn’t sure if it would meet everyone’s expectations right away. So I decided to start with a simpler approach and gradually add each location. That way, I can collect feedback and see which aspects people want me to focus on next.

Well there's no stopping you from adopting a hybrid like VN plus occasional sandbox to control the level of variation and complexity, just try to avoid an open world sandbox - it's really hard to do it correctly unless you make each event operate independently of each other, but that would be just a non-kinetic VN except to add more clicks and create an illusion of control.

And yes, I do find the Latin American vibes refreshing so looking forward to your development!

Thanks a lot, i really appreciate your thoughtful advice. Don’t worry — I’m not planning to take too long before releasing the next update. More is coming soon!
