Does this game have an ending or are they still milking it?
The main inspiration for the game is CoC, basically means its destined to be milked without furthering the main plot (aka listening the the top paying patron pigs) until they decide to rush the ending.

I'm curious how they hit the finish line with this one.

CoC2 has a bunch of problems, but one of the things I'd say it's done well so far is putting a solid divide between the corrupt and pure playthroughs. If you go pure you've got paths to either try to redeem Kas, or put her down and save everyone. If you go corrupt you've got paths to join up with Kas, or take it all for yourself. I can see how all of these will progress going into the end of the game.

You've also still got tons of content for both paths. Companions are largely pure and have tons of content, lots of people in that world are just generally horny, the trigger between the two seems to be more consent/non consent which means both paths have tons of actual content. But you've still got stuff like leaving the corruption intact or fixing/healing it.

Savin has also talked recently about how he's pretty confident in finishing off the main story by end of 25/early 26, and I can see them reaching that. Salamander City will probably hit 25, and then it's just pushing to the finish line.

With Seeds of Chaos I'm kinda generally unsure how they stick that landing. They've talked about splitting into 2? or 3? total games to finish the storyline. But I can only really see a Dom Jez/Andras or submit to them path right now, both of which would be corrupt. Any storyline that veers into "pure" and taking out Jez/Andras would quickly overwhelm the dev team with having to figure out how to write two fully different storylines.

Let alone how/where they end this story and keep all the various paths aligned going into a 2 or 3.

I don't know, if I agree with you on them having trouble doing a pure storyline, I played a pure Rowan with a pure Alexia and I'm not gonna lie, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Something that I didn't expect that would happen was that bit at the end,

Also, there are a couple of things already that you can set up for later that will probably help in the six realms defeating the twins like Werden and Marianne getting out of Rastedel with a decent portion of people; I hope the option to sabotage the battle of Astarte doesn't take too long to be implemented, cause I want to see how that will play out. That being said though, I don't think a pure Rowan will come out of it completely unscathed, I think there will be ways to avoid being killed by the twins before they're defeated, but I would not be surprised if they just decide to remove a body part, like Rowan's eye or something for trying to undermine them so much. Jezera could also just pull another magical object in order to control Rowan more, but I wouldn't like that as much. Alexia would also still in peril so there's that.

I'll believe that things actually get streamlined when it happens, but it's good to see that Venus Noire actually seems to understand that the scope of SoC needs to be reined in. Now if only they'd realized that storylines like Alexia's NTR arc with Andras have gone much, much further than they should have in the first act of a three act play.

I don't agree. I think act II could be a more public portrayal of Alexia's corruption; right now it's all hush hush, but Act II could have her almost openly side with the twins. A dramatic event happens in Act II, and then in Act III you can either have redemption, or the complete fall.

With the progress we have made this year, along with the new writers we have hired to help, I am cautiously optimistic we'll be able to wrap things up next year and move on to working on Act II.
Man this dev... when they miss a deadline, it's not by a few weeks or even months, it gets moved an entire year! Wish my work deadlines were this lenient.

At the end of Alexia's NTR arc in act one she despises Rowan, is fiercely loyal to Andras, and little to no effort has been made to hide it as rumors abound within the castle. Rowan is well aware that Alexia has turned slut and is given plenty of opportunities to show complete and utter disdain for her. It reaches a point where it's hard to even call it NTR anymore. Alexia's end of act one NTR status should have been her end of act two NTR status.
