I'm generally loving this game, but there is one aspect that does rather bother me.
It might be by design, but I do find it kind of annoying that it is much easier for Rowan to recover from corruption than it is for Alexia. Rowan always seems to find someone he can help to chip away at his corruption, making it much more manageable. Free a slave here, don't report an escapee there, and so on, makes managing his corruption a simple matter
Alexia on the other hand hardly ever seem to get an opportunity to reduce her corruption. This results in a sort of double standard where rowan can pretty much screw anyone he wants with impunity, even people that he really shouldn't be getting involved with above an beyond the cheating aspect. Where ad Alexia seems to be punished just for getting aroused when people happen to be having sex nearby. It feels like Alexia has to maintain the upmost purity at all times lest she fall into corruption, where as Rowan will only really become corrupt if you are actively pursuing that path.
I know that she is largely confined to the palace, but surely there are some good deeds that can be done there. For example she could sneak extra food to some prisoners, or she could take the blame for a mistake a servant made knowing that she can't be punished as harshly (although maybe still more harshly than she thought), heck secretly reduce her corruption if she helps Helayna escape. I just think that if Rowan gets to balance the scales by doing good deeds that Alexia should get the same opportunity.
