Thanks. My previous comments about my experience playing this game sparked a lot of discussion. Many people tried to comfort me and make me feel better, and I sincerely thank you for your kindness. Your perspectives also raised a question for me: I’ve played other games that, while not focused on NTR themes, have well-written NTR routes (the most classic example being Taffy Tales). So why does this game’s NTR route—especially the one involving Andras and Alexia—make me feel so intensely disgusted? I kept thinking about this and came up with some thoughts.
First of all, this game isn’t primarily an NTR-focused game, yet it gives off a strong impression of being one (whether you play the NTR route or not). Or, to be more precise, it comes across as a game heavily centered on the NTR route between Andras and Alexia. This is largely due to the portrayal of the character Andras. He is an extremely unpleasant character. In NTR-themed games, characters with personalities like Andras are quite common. However, in those games, the protagonist who gets NTR’ed is usually portrayed as an incompetent cuck loser. As a result, players who are used to self-inserting as the protagonist tend to avoid NTR-themed games altogether, since they can’t relate to an incompetent cuck loser protagonist and naturally aren’t interested. But the protagonist of Seeds of Chaos is not a cuck loser. On the contrary, he is a well-written anti-hero. So, many players who don’t accept NTR can still immerse themselves as the protagonist after learning that this is a multi-themed game.
However, from the very beginning of the game, the protagonist is subjected to incredibly frustrating treatment. Together with his wife, he is overpowered and captured by an unbeatable pair of demon twins who force him to work for them. The characterization of these demons is particularly unlikable, especially Andras. Although the female demon also has a bad attitude, she is at least a female character, and the game hints that the protagonist can eventually turn the tables on her. Even if you pursue her NTR route, let’s be honest, most people probably don’t consider lesbian NTR as true NTR. But Andras is different—he’s unpleasant, the protagonist can’t defeat him, and he has an NTR route targeting the protagonist. Moreover, in a game where corruption is a major theme, Alexia’s corruption route with Andras includes text that humiliates the protagonist.
The character portrayals in this game are excellent, and the protagonist is easy to relate to, which makes the sense of frustration especially pronounced. Even if you avoid the NTR route, Andras’s dialogue constantly expresses his desire to take your spouse, and you are powerless to resist him.
Before I started playing this game, I asked some players who had already played it about its genre. Most of them directly replied that it was an NTR-focused game and advised me not to play it (they knew I dislike NTR). The minority explained that it wasn’t solely an NTR game and had multiple themes. After playing it myself, I confirmed that it wasn’t primarily an NTR game and went back to ask those who had labeled it as such why they did so. Their response was that the frustration of self-inserting as the protagonist in this game feels very similar to the frustration of self-inserting as the protagonist in an NTR game.
Combining this with online comments I’ve seen about the game, a significant number of players feel extremely frustrated playing as a capable hero in a game that isn’t primarily about NTR, yet constantly being constrained by the annoying demon twins. The presence of NTR routes, especially the one involving the particularly detestable Andras, makes it unbearable for them, leading them to quit. They would rather return to the game only after the protagonist manages to turn the tables. But the game has been in development for nearly a damn decade, and the protagonist’s revenge plot remains nowhere in sight.
Originally, this game, with its wide range of fetishes, could attract many different types of players. However, under its current content, it has gradually become dominated by players who can accept NTR. In my opinion, this is definitely not a good thing for the game’s development, especially if they care about the game’s revenue.
They should make the highly relatable protagonist suffer less humiliation in the storyline. This doesn’t mean removing the NTR routes—it’s a multi-themed game, and it’s perfectly fine for its well-executed NTR routes to attract players who enjoy NTR. However, they should also make the non-NTR content more satisfying. Wouldn’t that attract more players and be better for a game that needs to consider revenue? The game currently lets players influence its development, but the existing content has already narrowed the diversity of its player base. If the development team seeks feedback from a player base dominated by those who enjoy NTR, it will naturally lead the game to become more NTR-focuse

This little controversy made me realize that there are many people who like Rowan and hate Andras, and considering he was created to be an idiot, that's great.Thanks.
I always found Andras more annoying than anything. But there was a moment while trying to recruit some orcs. Him and Rowan were going back and forward ribbing each other. Felt like one of them buddy cop film moments. And I had a though like wow. Not saying they would be friends, but at least getting along a lot better. If he wasn't such a dick a lot of the time. I mean that and razing the village.... and trying to fuck his wife... and him. This little controversy made me realize that there are many people who like Rowan and hate Andras, and considering he was created to be an idiot, that's great.
So, congratulations to whoever wrote them, you're doing an excellent job.
I will say this, at least Andras has a justification for always being around, after playing another game (not on this site, it's mainstream though it does have nudity) with an intentionally written to be an asshole character, who doesn't have a justification for not just being removed from the plot and being sent to prison, I can appreciate the little things like "It's completely understandable why I'm stuck with this obnoxious asshole and can't just leave/imprison/kill him"This little controversy made me realize that there are many people who like Rowan and hate Andras, and considering he was created to be an idiot, that's great.
