Okay so I know what you mean but let me give you an explanation for why things are the way they are in regards to the less erotic scenes between Rowan and Alexia. I play mainly the Overlord Rowan route, but I have played the other routes as well.

First, Rowan and Alexia are married (pretty obvious I know), the issue is that they are a "normal" couple and weren't doing any sort of kinky stuff before they arrived at Blackholt. Hence it would be pretty damn strange if they all of a sudden start having the kind of sex you only see in porn flicks.

However with the gradual corruption of both Rowan and Alexia, they start experimenting and enjoying new ways to please each-other. One example is the futa one, another is the scene where rowan forces alexia to give BJ in front of the other succubi and another would be the fertility treatment where rowan again dominates Alexia (if you choose the right options). So things are slowly starting to heat up between those two and I believe the scenes will only get more spicier as rowan adapts to his eventual role.

Now in comparison, Andras is goal oriented, meaning he has to corrupt and dominate alexia in a short time period. It's a typical NTR plot. To accomplish this, his scenes with Alexia are more spicier than with rowan because andras's rate of corrupting alexia is faster than rowan. That's because if you go down the ntr route, there are different choices you can make that would support the easier corruption of alexia.

I hope that clears up some things for you.

Could be a lot of things

1) Either a skill issue or a effort issue of the developers. Whether it flows from a lack of interest in healthy relationships or a lack of understanding is hard to say, but most of the SoC developers have been historically not very excited to write romance stuff and far more excited to write content where other characters corrupt the protagonists. Likely just dev enthusiasm bleeding through into the scene they like making them better.

2) Since the developers need to differentiate b/t the protagonists corruption levels, I expect contextualizing this in terms of differentiated sex scenes is difficult. It is an easy trap to make scenes b/t the pure couple really blase missionary b/t a sheet- and the corruption scenes raunchy, but much harder to mix and match.

3) Despite having a lof of scenes together the protagonists scene block lacks focus. Andras' route with Alexia (second largest content block in the game) is very focused on a single kink- if you like it, you'll likely like all of it and GET all of it in a single play-through. Rowan / Alexia's route by contrast is trying to be everything at once, it gets divided into increasingly smaller slices the pickier you are too. Corruption levels already slices it up by maybe - 40% unless you thread the needle really carefully on getting scenes (requires a guide almost), then it gets sliced by other pathings as well. Don't like your wife getting fucked by a Minotaur or futa way more sexually powerful than your character? Don't like vanilla? Don't like femdom? Don't like maledom? Bye bye % points. Rowan / Alexia's mutual routes cannot get anywhere in terms of sexual progression cause it is a 20 kink tug o' war. You need a series of progressing scenes to do a kink route well and frankly, outside of adding monsters with dicks to the mix / NTR, and a single well written ffm route that ends in a total of two ffm scenes (Liurial) the couple doesn't really have focused route content together. We cannot really have kink progression with the protagonists unless they have focused routes as well. They are a kink blob- not a flow-chart. The only deep sexual progression option you have b/t the two is for one or both of them to start taking monster cock.

Maybe they could shift some of the Rowan / Alexia scenes to be approached in different ways to make the couples scenes more accessible? Different writing vibe / same art. In my case I love rough sex scenes, but I hate how much of a town bicycle slut Alexia acts like in some of her rough scenes with Rowan. Slightly modified requirements or alternative ways to get some of the scene content would open up the protagonists content, such that more player types would get more scenes b/t the couple instead of them getting whittled down to all hell for most players.

I'm fine with NTL and lesbian NTR in this game, but when it comes to a character like Andras, whom I genuinely want the protagonist to slash to death with a sword, NTR can go to hell. The only way I'd accept it is if the protagonist later discovers the truth, becomes corrupted, and seeks revenge, making both Andras and Alexia pay the price. I can't stand the idea of the protagonist having to endure humiliation while playing a game.

If this game were purely NTR-focused and the protagonist were portrayed as an irredeemable cuck loser, I wouldn't care. But that's not the case. What's even more frustrating is that the artist seems increasingly intent on making the NTR scenes with Andras more sexually appealing. This feels unfair to me—why can't they create equally enticing CGs for players who can't accept this direction? Why not let Rowen become an absolute dominator over his wife? Isn't the main goal of playing a porn game to enjoy attractive erotic CGs? However, the significant disparity in the appeal of the CGs between the two routes makes me feel like the artist is subtly coercing players into accepting NTR. It ultimately feels like a betrayal. If the artist loves NTR so much, they should just make the game entirely NTR-themed.

2) Might be related to how well the writers of the various scenes described the posing to the artist. Is LA just the posing G.O.A.T?

3) Since the main Dev wrote the NTR scenes, maybe the artist sub-consciously put more juice into making the art good. It is where his paycheck comes from.

4) Andras is visually interesting. Rowan is designed to be visually neutral- he looks a lot like a more jacked version of a self insert anime protagonist. Rowan is objectively attractive, but very basic and designed with some average human traits in mind.

5) The monster characters are designed to be vastly physically superior to Rowan. I know I'll get lectured by some D/s enthusiasts about this as "dominance has nothing to do with size," buuuuuuuuuut some peoples mindsets cannot get past that or they simply like the visual aesthetic of their protagonist being physically dominant compared to the competition (like me)- that group cannot have their kink in SoC- the monster characters have exclusive rights to being the biggest, the strongest ect, ect.

The developers are very against modifying Rowan to make him have more interesting scenes. Whether it is a desire to keep him 100% human, a lore reason, or waiting for the right moment, I don't really know. But there are never any magical modifications used to make him better. His wife can grow huge tits and a cock bigger than his and other characters can do all sorts of freaky stuff with magic, but Rowan never gets the same treatment. He cannot grow an extra dick like his wife, he cannot get taller, or learn magic, he cannot get tangibly stronger ect, ect. He slowly gains stat points, but they don't feel that impactful. Its like inching slowly from beginner to novice level in the world. The only real progression he seems to get is he can gain some hommies, but even that stalls out before it becomes anything interesting. They player is constantly annoyed by the game about being inferior, but has no in game way to get superior, you're just treading water.

My advice; step away from the game- come back in a few years and see if it improves.

I understand that you're sad because Andras' NTR scenes are better drawn than the others' (which is objectively true), but hating those scenes seems like a huge exaggeration to me.
As for why those scenes are better drawn, it seems simple: most customers (paying customers) want scenes with Andras, so the authors create more scenes with him and with higher quality, which is natural for a game that receives funding from fans.

Finally got around to playing this again after so long, and I feel like despite it being like 7-8 months since I played, I found less content or at least a similar amount I actually enjoyed then back when I played it bi-monthly. I think I understand why you are angry, it's about the fact that the game says it lets you choose between NTR or not but just heavily focuses on one side, right? If the dev wants to focuse on NTR they should make a game for the crowd that enjoys it and go in whole ass so that the people that love it have something to enjoy while people like me (and presumably you) can just ignore it, right? Because that is something that the NTR enjoyers should also accept, and that is that games like this aren't NTR games, they're games with multiple genres and NTR is one of them. I mean goodness, I just started the game after years and it asked me if I want to see NTR content or not.

That is however the problem with games like this. It just divides people from the word go with it having something so divisive as NTR as part of it's gameplay.

I never got far into the game and last time I played it was years ago but from what I read on this thread we have many paths, something about Overlord Rowan? Whatever that entails, I can kinda see why you could enjoy the lesbian NTR, probably not for the same reason though, because for me, that seems like something that can be turned around and start some FFM scenes with possibly harem in there as well. In all honesty, games where you corrupt a demon or whoever into a better person or at least into a sub sounds like my thing, redemption porn is my fetish.

From my time here it feels like the people that do enjoy NTR tend to ride on a high horse and look down on people that enjoy it's counterparts, like don't mention netorase, harem or cuckquean in their vicinity.

Just like most games not focusing on NTR, but with optional parts of it, will not be the best experience for fans of that kink.

It's still great, despite all our deserved or undeserved whining and complaints, that SoC offers so many options, and seems bent on finishing all paths, despite some clear focus on NTR content. Many games won't even go that far, and don't even have as much pressure to do so. Most other games' vanilla path is just about removing the ntr, sharing, lesbian and group scenes. So most scenes truly.

You are not wrong, there has been a lot of focus on the Andras x Alexia path, heavy with True NTR rather than the earlier sex slave vibe.

But on a more serious note I'm kind of amazed, in the typical game industry a game that's been 'in development' for 10 years is actually multiple games most of which where cancelled as the project was overhauled again and again with only some designs/the basic premise staying the same, and if a game releases it's only been in dev for 3 years or 5 at most, but this game is one of those rare few that actually has just been in development for almost 10 years, I'm as impressed as I am horrified

Lol, that's funny indeed. My very first exposure to the game's pictures was not on anything official... but two or three thumbnail previews were basically Rowan getting impaled by Andras, or Rowan on top of a young male elf. So I mistook it for purely yaoi/gay artist CGs, and ignored it. Then I saw the name getting traction and a lot of hype, and learned it was a game at least 2-3 years later.
