RPGM - Completed - Serafina and the Key to the Egg [v1.02] [Hasoyua / Kagura Games]

Finally a good rpg hentai game with a good translation. I had nearly lost hope that anything good will come out, and there it is.

The art is fantastic, the gameplay is fun, and the story is interesting (not another "we need need to kill the demon king to save the world").

Writing is fine. Scenario is novel enough, translation is good, characters are fine and the tone of the delivery isn't a turnoff. Do think the backstory needs fleshed out even if the intro isn't skipped and did find a couple untranslated bits but all in all a positive experience.

Didn't see any porn that was gross for me, and did see quite a bit I liked; usual whines about needing more/better pregnancy stuff applies but that may as well be my review sig.

Some quest/encounter lines feel too short and too... ADV-gamey? All that's needed to continue them to their finish is to just show up at a place two or three days in a row. There're logic holes in some spots that allow a fully lewded-out heroine to go back to early game encounters and freak out at a guy touching her ass only to dive into a gangbang a sentence later. Also the most annoying bits I found were late game cockteases at breast expansion, cursed clothes and tentacle breeding that are all resolved by either giving up for an unsatisfying gameover or fighting spam enemies for an unsatisfying return to status quo. That's worth one dead star by itself.

TLDR: Worth the time and download.

The game is quite simple/short so as such my review will be as well. Most parts of the game are ok. Can't say that there are many parts that are great, but in terms of gameplay there aren't any glaring problems .The one major issue comes from the fact that the massive tag list does not really represent the kinkyness of the game. Most of it is rather bland and there is strong a lack of variation in the scenes that are available.

Basically, if you came for a short, scene filled adventure like myself, then this game will probably disappoint you.

Really solid little rpg. They've changed up the normal overworld to instead just be a menu system, so it's easy to get to the places you need to go/see when there's new people to talk to. On quests it plays out like an old school dungeon crawler, proceeding little by little and encountering different events at each step based on your 'search' stat. I can see this being a downgrade for some people, but I've played so many rpgm games that I'm happy any time a dev does something other than use the base tile sets/combat system or even worse, the base city layouts.

The story is fairly simple but well written, there's never a point where I felt like people were doing anything completely illogical. Having said that some bits could stand to be better explained, I went to talk to the characters I could every day and still wasn't sure who they were until the ending cutscene shed a little more info.

It would be a 5 star game if not for two things, there's not really enough variety in the sex scenes and the game drags a bit in the second half. You get given 40 days to make 250k cash, but you can do it in 10 days if you just repeat the 50k mission so I had 30 days to amble around checking every single npc for things I might've missed, which wasn't very many things. Which sort of leads into my second complaint, there's really not many sex scenes. I can see people who instantly rush the lewd content being pretty let down when there's only minor changes between a lot of them.

TLDR: Nice little game, but needed some more balancing toward the second half and a bit more variety in sex scenes.

not much wrong with this game, it can get grindy but you can just hack it if you feel like not grinding.

Decent amount of scenes and good story, worth playing.
