I don't agree with some of your assessments but I appreciate you spelling it out. I'm gonna hard disagree with you about JamLiz, their output is great, if you look at the animation frames it's clear they take their time and you can see the major increase in frames and quality in recent releases compared to their early fast output. Eroniverse started work on CWG about 1 1/2 years before the first release, so if you haven't been following him for as long as I have I guess you'd think his pacing is miraculous. He also uses fewer frames than JamLiz.Have to make a difference between handdrawn art & 3d render.
3d depends (mostly) on the computing power and with 2d it fully depends on the artist
It's not like i just orientate myself on anything, but on reliable developers like when it comes to 3d i orientate myself to NLT (Treasure Of Nadia) which gets updated every 2 weeks & Eroniverse who works on a handdrawn game "Confined with Godesses" that game receives new versions monthly.
With this said both categories have been covered.
Now you can say "but these are the absolute benchmarks what about others that need much more time".
DrPinkCake & PhillyGames for example, i adore both of them they take a long time compared to the benchmarks but not everyone can be such a machine & their product is convincing, great animations, graphics, lots of content, brilliant story & they don't overuse trump cards like problems with family, feeling bad or whatever.
They have to work like everyone else, even if they have personal problems who doesn't have them ? we don't live in the land of milk and honey.
It's perfectly fine to criticize devious dudes like Icstor, PsychoDelusional, Lewdlab, GZone & UberPie
(so people who are extremely lazy, full of excuses and almost only cashing in)
Jamliz is another case where i smell scam (of course not on the same level as Icstor & the others) but slowly something is emerging cause he started strong but weakened over time and keeps coming with new excuses altough he reached all his goals especially the third which was:

Nevertheless he pulls the whole thing over the stage with senseless "improvements" what he calls "redesigns"
Btw i was wrong with Loml & apologized, NaughtyRoad does the whole thing only part timees he rarely publishes updates and apparently they come with a lot of content.
UberPie can't write nor do I think he's good at coding, I can't tell 100% cuz I can't be assed to figure out how to decompile Unity games, but his drawings are top-notch and his ragdolls are pretty damn detailed and animated. Each release has about 2-3 hours of content from him, which is equal to 3-6 months of output from some other hand drawn artists. I'm actually literally playing Amity Park right now, I avoided it for a long time because I couldn't decompile it properly but VepsrP has done a great job modernizing UnRen over the last 8-9 months and it can handle almost anything now, but I've looked at their art and it's an extremely faithful recreation of the source material and the lightning in crazy. I'll take a look at the animations, writing, and the code, and assess their output afterwards. Actually, just realized they changed some of the art so I'm gonna have to scour for the last update before this one...
PsychoDelusional is a total amateur and spent a ton of time learning between Dark Neighborhood and Apocalust, and it shows; even so Dark Neighborhood was extremely well done, had a coherent visual motif and made great use of warm lighting and focus to maintain said motif. He's still been providing patron rewards for each tier even though he hasn't been putting out updates but the demo shows that he's been working on a lot of custom UX (which actually takes time, believe it or not). His code is still super basic from the Apocalust demo but maybe he's been working on some game systems or a more complex gameplay loop he couldn't show in the demo--we'll see in the first official release. Also he's said he's changed his tastes/writing style so we'll know what's come of that.
Also like I've said earlier in the LoML thread, NLT has been doing this for over 20 years and has at least one coder, whether you believe me on that or not lol.
I'm not gonna defend everyone but I think people underestimate some of the work that goes into this stuff, especially as an amateur learning as you go.
