Part of that might be the fact they have a public release we just have to be patient and waiting a day for it ain't too bad right?
Most games have public releases. In fact many have public releases that come out much earlier. My guess is that it stems from the frequent updates. Games that update twice a year cost like 10 bucks to buy early every time. This games updates like 10 times a year minimum, so frequently buying the updates becomes expensive.

this game is really good, i think it as all the things to keep you tuned.
I may suggest to add an option to skip time, it's really boring to have to go in your room each ime you want to jump to another day or hour of the day.
