The presence of an update was announced on Discord today. New content. Super supporter level only right now (over $20 per month).
To save new folks some time, asking for a "hero" doesn't make the update appear faster. Following this thread (or joining the free Discord, or signing up as a free member on Patreon) is a pretty clear sign of your dedication. The "we need a hero" nonsense really ought to be left unspoken so it doesn't bury the kind of news that all of us followers want to see.
The whole reason this site exists is that files get shared. We're all excited to see the new stuff, just grab a cold beverage and be patient . . . or if you're in a position to do so, be the change in the world you want to see.

I'm kinda confused here, probably others are as well. Patreon announces Ch.4-v0.2 prealpha-1, 13 hours ago, but that's the same version that was updated here on 2025-08-06, right?

They will not be able to play anyway. Because the alpha and beta versions were always leaked the dev now implemented a Patreon verification when you open the game.On patreon.
