To me, what you've written here is a pretty spot on character analysis, and the idea of a three dimensional LI (the title character of the story) is part of what makes the game so good.Because her sharp intelligence and high level of education intimidates me, and despite me having lots of good qualities, like kindness, generosity and being a handy and practical guy, I still feel like I'm not her equal and don't deserve her. I try to hide my insecurities and protect myself by pretending like I don't care about her degree in the field of biology or any of that "nature stuff". I'm envious, because she's well travelled, and understands and experiences in the world as part of her studies, while my job is just sitting in front of a screen, pretending that what I do matters and that computers and video games is something "real" too.
The male characters are definitely written at times as overgrown adolescent boys (if that's what we choose MC to be, the choice is definitely there). What really bothered me about the most recent Injector conversation between Dave and Mel
