Because her sharp intelligence and high level of education intimidates me, and despite me having lots of good qualities, like kindness, generosity and being a handy and practical guy, I still feel like I'm not her equal and don't deserve her. The male characters are definitely written at times as overgrown adolescent boys (if that's what we choose MC to be, the choice is definitely there). What really bothered me about the most recent Injector conversation between Dave and Mel

is that Mel is most definitely NOT presented as the accomplished and smart person she's been presented as in literally every other situation in the game. She's in an advanced degree program in a scientific field, but she can't engage in a basic objective analysis and realize she's being treated like an idiot?

I really appreciate this answer! I think the reason why that flavour text in the contacts list is written like that, is simply because Zip doesn't want to commit to details like that, since it's not important for the plot. So I was mostly just making a joke, but I did enjoy writing that.

Now, I'm not going to read that spoiler, as I'm still waiting for official releases, but you present something I've also felt but only suspected so far: that how Mel is written might need some readjustment in future releases. I don't know the exact nature of your example, maybe she's playing dumb/helpless for the boys (which can be attractive, but not constantly). But ultimately she should be smart and reasoned, while allowing for some naivete when appropriate. I hope Zip reads your important feedback.

Exactly, this would be a deal breaker for anyone in a relationship. How can you be "dating" someone and not know even the most basic info like major in college? This basically makes the MC a fuckboy, who does not care even a little bit about Mel.

The current alpha only contains one of the three major event blocks that will comprise the current chapter under construction. That's why it's an 0.1 alpha.

The pace of development has slowed to a crawl, with the last communication from developer regarding progress made on November 18 claiming that the next chunk of chapter 5 was over 50% done.

Don't know what's wrong, but it's pretty obvious that "situation normal" isn't an entirely accurate assessment.

Must admit I unsubbed from top tier due to lack of communication and progress becoming progressively slower.

The game is great but when you're committing a decent chunk of cash you need some reliability.

All conversations are done.
Remaining images and testing to be completed.
No timeline given.
No word on whether this is a 0.1 to 0.2 or a complete chapter 5. Still two major chapter 5 events to be released, so don't know if this will contain both.
