I've also made the decision to quit my job in September.
This is kinda a big decision for a dev to do, especially in this economy, whether in north america or europe. a very big risk indeed.
Yes I don't know about this. Making AVN's is a creative enterprise, and one without an institutionalised industry, like say being a novelist (publishers, agents, reviewers, tours...), so stability/continuity is not guaranteed. I mean even those working in established creative industries often have to supplement their income with a day job well into their careers and there's tons of films about careers faltering after initial success.
If it were me, unless I know I can get a job again and my time away from the profession won't be counted against me as a loss of experience (poor career-mothers lol), I'd compromise to find a balance rather even at the cost of productivity rather than risk my future prospects.
Then agian what do I know, this is the age of influencers and all that type of work I don't quite understand, and it does seem if one's parents are upper middle class who invested/saved smart the nontraditional career path might be sustainable for a couple decades. No idea what happens after middle-age though:unsure:
Not that we can complain about more ambitions of fuckery:love:! Good luck to devwhatever he decides.

The reason why I did it, I have a lot of connections in the industry that I work in. There's very few who can do what I do. Even now when I looked on Linkedin, there's 100+ similar jobs in my area. If things wouldn't work out, I wouldn't have trouble going back, but at the moment, I'd rather focus on something that brings me the most joy in my life. It's a risk for sure, but we have to take a risk every now and then, otherwise life gets boring, doesn't it? :)

I seriously can’t wait for the next update! You mentioned some fixes to the beach scene AbyssGames can I ask what specifically you changed and why?

I honestly think you’re a mastermind of porn writting :p, and I really appreciate how well you treat your followers. I just hope that as the game’s popularity grows, your attitude stays the same.

As for your decision to go full-time into game dev... just make sure you have a backup plan, my friend. Even if things are looking good and profits seem steady, it might not last. The next project could underperform or flop entirely, so really think it through before leaving everything behind.

I mentioned fixes to the beach scene? Shit, I don't even remember that, I fixed some stuff after the Giga-Chad release, but most of it, I was pretty happy with.
