Speaking of AVN, I think it's because of immersion. The vast majority of players play as themselves and they want to fuck everyone and not see people fucking. That's one of the reasons that people call NTR every sex that the MC doesn't have part of. But speaking for myself, I never play as myself in games, I always leave the default name or make one up. I experience the game as someone else and not as myself in that world.

It's pretty wild for the initiated. And yeah, it can become formulaic and boring after a while, but it's clear to see the near future where images or even video will accompany the story...that will be a peak experience and I imagine possibly overtake AVNs eventually.

Oh, I'm pretty aware of this... Video is not far behind with the recent open source models, just too computationally expensive for now. Images though... every time I come back to the frontier and try the newest models they impress me a LOT. Pretty sure in the following years I will get to a point when I wonder why I'm still painfully making honey select 2 renders that take me a while instead of having a quick workflow for photorealistic lescest. I am doing a maddie fenton chatbot I created with a deepseek proxy. It is fun and has a lot of potential but also the AI can be a bit difficult with the NSFW stuff(thought it can get there)
