Really like how the story is wrapping up and at a good pace too. Taking a break was so worth it.

Finally, v23 build! It took a long time, but it turned out to be pretty much a double update size-wise! This month we're covering Thistle's rescue scene in Shelter's gardens. I hope you'll find it interesting

> a whole lot of new expressions, including all of the dogs from Rune's sword training class, and Thistle
> a new background picture, the Gardens
> a CG-like picture composition with Thistle and Monsters

I don't think you can save him yet. The dev made it seem like you'll need to convince the dogs that stayed behind to come with you in the garden to save everyone but the choice to do so is locked, so that's most likely something that'll be added in a future update.
Most likely you can only save Thistle by recruiting Tweak (crying voice before going to help Thistle) who will convince the other dogs who stayed behind to go to the Garden which will result in saving everyone.

Hey guys, just leaving this in case someone doesn't know: there's a post on the dev's twitter where you can comment with "Awoo", and for every ten awoo replies under that tweet, the waiting time for the new build's itch public release will be cut by one day. The default day is July 30th.
