RPGM - Completed - Shera and the Three Treasures [v1.06] [The Knights of Asgar]

I felt like I needed to provide a relatively unconventional review here, because this game is actually a little different than all the others out there. What it has going for it is cute eroticism. When this is allowed to build up properly, it is very rewarding. It actually has more story and rp elements going on than most: sleeping does something sometimes, for instance. I am also very happy to see that losing is completely ok in this game: the heroine is properly embarrassed and it can actually be very good. Some, but not all, fetishes are present in the game, and there are places where it does not go.

The puzzles are also a rp element, and are more extensive than in many easier games. Also like many games of its type, you will probably go back to the recollection room instead of replaying it. Yes, it's true that you have seen more extreme games. You have seen games with more art and original assets, but I can say that I was satisfied with the game. I honestly looked forward to every bit of new content that I unlocked.

Honestly there isnt anything unique about this game. Only a handful of animations and for the grind to corrupt Shera the payout isnt that good. For example the more perversion the more submissive/agressive H-moves she could pull. I do appreciate the fact that there is new game+ so replaying the game wont be another grind fest.

However with the lack of quality within these scenes I dont see myself replaying this game, at least not right away for different out comes. I do enjoy Asgar's games and I'm usually the type to buy a game if I enjoy it but Asgar doesnt release games that i'd pay for. His other game ROBF, I enjoyed the custionizable option for different play styles and I was hoping for something along those lines here, not even the gattle fuck system is that good in here.

If this game does poorly for him he better not blame Western Piracy, lack of quality equals lack of sales.

Holy hell, this was disappointing. After I realized kept seeing the same thing across a handful of different events, I had to find and load up a full save just to see what I could look forward to. And wow. The gameplay is great but the porn visuals are fucking terrible with the reused assets across the board.

On the one hand, game offers you a lot of avenues when choosing how to tackle a given problem; which is amazing in itself, but moreso in an RPGM game. Simply put, the gameplay side is very solid.

Also, while other games manage to incorporate the porn aspect into the turn-based system to varying extents, this one manages it to such a greater degree than I've ever seen. Some sort of "restrain and rape" feature is becoming more common in games now, but they're usually pretty half-assed. This one, however, goes the extra mile that allows you to better act out scenes where Shera is being tricked or strip-searched. Some scenes wholly take place in the combat interface, which makes your choice of whether to resist or fight more organic.

On the other hand, once you get past all of that and get to your what should be your reward, well... Imagine those repeatable "mini-scenes" that comprise a small part of other games, usually when you do open world prostitution, except it's everything in this game.

You'd think being largely animated would be a massive plus, right? Well no, because that means the "scenes" only use a handful of poses and positions that constantly get repeated; there is a severe lack of variety and and the awkward angles massively detract from how hot a scenario should be.

And that's not getting into over-reliance on shadow people; meaning Shera only ever fucks either a blob of amorphous shadow with vaguely defined extremities or a bunch of translucent, dismembered body parts. That's fine in a fully 3D CGI game, but very hard for player projection in 2D. When being uncensored works against the game because it can no longer hide how some penetration actions aren't even properly drawn, maybe some retrospection is needed.



If you don't need a lot, visually, to get yourself going, then this game is close to a fucking masterpiece. No joke or condescension. It has a lot going for it, that I would otherwise find it genuinely great.

For others out there who share my preference for variety and detail in porn artwork, maybe because you're more than a little desensitized to the simple sight of boobies, don't go into this game expecting to fap a lot. I kinda wish it utilizd full CG artwork instead.

I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could because of how divided I am on it, but not possible so a 3 it is.

On a more serious note it is indeed a 10/10 H-Game, it has combat rape, clothing damage, a "perversion" (corruption) system that made shera do more wild stuff like getting naked by herself and walk like that on the town or even mid battle, she can even learn ero attacks. Also as far as I been playing it looks like you can do a virgin run (with high or low corruption), also quests have many ways of solving it, like fighting your way, letting the enemy capture you and then escape or even letting the enemy have his way with you.

As a final thing is fully animated and its very rare to see an rpg-maker with fully animated sprites.

If you really like the game buy it from kagura games, they are great and its a good way to make them do more games like this.
