You must fight and try, even if you fail, at midnight there's a NPC in temple that enhances your ATK / DEF by using some cristals anytime you win a round. Try several times until strong enough to not be defeated by lower level monsters.
the fuck is this combat no way to level up, no way to fight, no way to win BUT cheat, by that I mean the fights in painting! Like what the hell are they not even luck plays into ti the so called easy blitzas you
Try level up at the plain area. There is a hood npc that gonna help you increase your dmg or defend.
