thanks, I have 2 questions and I would be glad if you could answer them too:
1-what are corruption, trust, bond points and what is SP?
2-I am having a hard time against cait sith even though I play with normal difficulty. I don't think a fight this early would actually be this much difficult, so is there a certain trick to it or am I doing something wrong? Can you give any advice?

The higher the corruption you have, the harder the fight will be. You will receive more damage and I think there might be something else I'm missing.
SP allows you to upgrade skills, and you get it by being drained at the hotel.
Not too sure what bond points actually do, someone else will probably be able to answer.

I haven't played since the demo for the second one, I played on normal and I found the fight easy. But you probably should go to the hotel if you unlocked it, drain some levels to get SP to get better skills and if you want to, lvl back up a bit. Though it should be doable at lvl 25 with no corruption as far as I am aware.

All you have to do is scroll down a little bit to find the patch! I am not 100% certain, but I think the only thing holding an update back is waiting for someone to post "Shrift 2 version 1.53". Although I am not 100% certain what the current version of Shrift 2 we are currently on, as the download link doesn't say.

Trying to install the translation 1.53 doesn't seem to work because the files in the download link already have the previous translation already installed which causes an error to occur.

Edit: I tried to delete the files related to the previous tanslation version and it didn't work, so it seems like the problem is the game version not being the right one

Does anyone know how to get rid of the black bars on both sides of the screen!!?? I can't stand them! Even in this game! I want them to expand my whole tv screen! I used to use Scott's Window Resizing Utility for the old rpg engines but they don't work on these new ones!

Anyone else feel like Torodon doesn't really match her vibe? Like she talks about eating protag but her backstory she looks after a bunch of outcasts and stuff. I thought demons are suppose to be more evil in nature?

I don't really know the full extent of what you mean by "Demons are suppose to be evil in nature", like yeah SHIRFT's demons literally have a tendency to fuck people to death to devour/absorb/make a contract with their victims souls. So I could see what you mean if you meant it that way. But for Torodon specifically? I'm chalking the way she acts as her being tsundere and having a personal past life connection with one of the outcasts. If I remember correctly one of the outcast was her brother BEFORE she was taken away and turned into who we know as Torodon now, and the reason she takes care of the outcast is her trying to protect them so that they have a chance to take a brighter path instead of taking a darker one like she was forced to take. In all honesty I'm not too sure how much of this I got right, so if anyone wants to take a swing at getting accurate plot out of porn then by all means go ahead, I'm all for it.

Well you could just chalk it up to the fact she has a reason to hate the mc. It's not like she hate's humans in general it's just that the Mc as far as we know tortured her. So it's plausible that she does have a bit of a caring side to her. It's just that again she does not like the mc

Love Shrift, one of the best I've played. But playing 1/3 of the game, then having to wait a year for the second part - and another for the third part - is tough. It's unlikely we'll remember anything by the time it comes out, or that we'll even still have our save by then.

Not sure that was the best design choice for launching the full game... but to each their own I guess.

Is anyone having a problem running the most recent version from DLsite or from the update thread? The version included with the Mega link here works just fine for me but when i downloaded and ran the most recent one from DLsite i'm running into a bit of an issue...

The game launches fine but no sprites actually show up during the initial segment or even the benchmark test and i can't even progress to the tutorial with Yami as it just freezes up during the intro of her and as i said before the previous version works just fine, is it just a bug i'm getting or is it something everyone is if they've played it?
