Well it was up to date to the last release of the game by the looks of it, theres not really a need to do anything until a new update comes out so there wouldnt be much activity in between. Probably worth checking back later for an update as they might not even know or have time to update it straight away.
Of course it doesn't work, the gallery structure has been changed so the old mod was outdated duh
But I updated the mod to the latest version, so now it works.

I fear "Abandoned" means actually abandoned and that means there will be no further update.
Download this file and just put it in the game folder. Worked for me
