alr finished it and I think they removed the doggy animation in favor of the new terrain

edit: there's one new scroll ability that heals and neat parkour, plus new intro cutscene, along with the obvious new trap animation.
The levels are objective based, defeat the two black bandits, find a hideout and you traverse the level with the added parkour. Combat and dash have been tweaked for more satisfaction so it feels better to navigate and brawl (just don't get back into a corner).

and about the last thing of note is the full nelson Boss animation.
this is about everything of note in a casual playthrough.

edit2: ah, found the doggy animation, it's just out of the way.

Basically everything that was teased every month for over a year was packed in, plus the following:

"We have remade scenes from the Prologue and Chapter 1.
Some related events have not yet been implemented, and will be added in due course (please wait a little longer).
A new action, "Climb," has been added, allowing you to move to higher platforms. A new feature, "Secret Passage," has been added.
While hiding in the secret passage, you can lure enemies with the charm of your buttocks. Added scroll skill switching UI.
A new ninjutsu, "Recovery Technique," has been added.
Some CG from the prologue and chapter 1 have been implemented.
Improved game flow: After clearing a stage, you can now continue your mission without returning to town.
Brushed up some attack animations. Various other optimizations and adjustments have been implemented. "

Now don't act disappointed or anything like that; we knew exactly what would be in the next version from the start. But now we can be all the more excited about something truly new.

there is, that person is just a bit... "special" I haven't gotten that far and I can tell you theres a trap animation, new scroll stuff (scroll variety, animation, and mechanics), and new intro but again I haven't gotten far so there could be stuff I haven't gotten to yet
Yeah I deleted my comment thinking I'll check myself, but you were faster haha. That's good news though (y)

the new demo is pretty cool. it's basically all of the content that the dev talked about in the previous blog posts, I don't think they have the luxury of making even more content beyond what they tease. the combat feels so good, there's a lot of weight to the attacks but you can dash cancel out of them, it's a nice feel.

one thing that kinda confuses me, why not add the "scenes" from the combat levels to the daytime level. with some flavour text they could easily pass as a unique daytime activity that could be tied to refilling money for consumables, for example. from what i recall, there's already naked sprites of the char in the game files (?), so why not utilize them here, could be a cool mechanic.

and i wish we could see more of the teacher ninja from the beginning. ofc I'd love more new content with her but even existing content could be reused in a smart way. her appearance sprite is one of the most beautiful animations I've ever seen and we only see it once in the beginning. add her to the daytime tea house and you've got an incentive to return there sometimes. bolt on some short text dialogues and you got yourself an outline for the story.

all of this to say, i think there's a lot of potential for the dev to add so much more to the game without actually making new scenes from the ground up. working with the assets you got can go a long way in making a full game imo.

anyway not to be a backseat dev, either way i hope they continue cooking bc this game is really something special even at the current stage.
