Did I encounter a bug, or miss something obvious, or is it currently not possible to raise Ava evolution level above 1?

Getting her to level 1 was very easy, so I was a bit surprised I could not find an obvious way (or hints) to get above that. I also feel if this was a current limit of the game, this would be mentioned as other limits currently are.

I would appreciate some hints if I missed something to that effect.

It is the current limit, we'll have more stuff for her in the next chapter.
You are right that it's not clearly stated, this is in part because we were planning to add the next level to Chapter 2 and chose to move it to Chapter 3 instead a couple weeks ago.

A new update has been released, and this one concludes development on Chapter 2. We've added new campaign content, a new character, additional content for the existing cast and some new quality of life features such as better squad management and font sizes for accessibility.

You can now have squad members be set as inactive, which will let them intervene in story events but not in combat. If you want to challenge the creatures solo but still keep your companions around for story content, then that feature will let you exactly do that, solo achievements included.

So, is chapter 2 half done now? I remember dev saying that it would have 4 corruption stages or so. Ah forget it, just saw the previous posts from dev.

So I will share my big issue with chapter 2, it had very similar victory/defeat scenes, nothing majorly new compared to previous chapter, 1 scene was new but rest were just reused, going forward I would suggest looking deeper into those scenes. Yes character events are actually great but in the end you will trigger victory/defeat scenes more so having more variations there would be very good thing for the game.

I understand where you're coming from about the implementation of alternative combat resolution scenes, and this is the kind of content I would prefer to do as part of post endgame updates rather than get dragged into like a year long of development per chapter.

Hopefully this clarifies a bit why you won't see this kind of extra things right away.

I'm sorry if I sound too much like a fanboy, but after having tried so many games where the developers forget to advance the plot having almost a decade of development, reading this fills me with happiness.

Quite sound argument here so can't even counter it lol. Good, this clarifies a lot. But please do focus on those scenes gradually, act 1 has 4-5 enemy types with each of them having victory/defeat scenes varying on the basis of player's body even if variation is not so big at all. Loved that, made the game more responsive to the player's action.

Still, i am glad that its on the card. Will look forward to them after story has been completed. And any plan for steam release? It will be a fine game for that platform.

I would like to humbly request, if you decide to go this route, to make it optional. My concern is that you would alter the corruption/transformation path to, at some point, become fully female with no alternative other than to avoid any further corruption entirely.

Corrupting/transforming the main character was the very aspect that drew me to the game initially and is still one of the core components I was looking most forward to as the game develops. While it may sound silly, my enjoyment of that aspect and the game as a whole would be drastically reduced if the only path to higher levels of corruption was to become fully female.

Not really. This is why when you reach a point of no return we recommend to create a save before starting the event. Usually the sequence will be long enough that rolling back the history will not allow you to escape it.

There's always going to be at least one update like this as we use it to fill some gaps before moving on to the next chapter.

Yeah while futa is a good option I would also prefer MC to be corrupted into full female with alien tentacles instead of a male penis. Its same thing but in different way, but the way which would be aligned to initial vision of this game. And yeah, options will be great here, glad that dev team is looking into it.

And also, Miosha, how many chapters this game may have in your current plan? And will we get start of chapter 3 in next update or finishing of chapter 2?
