You cant get in without a sub and 1 dollar has a limit, IMO you guys are just like old devs greedy and useless. Years and years no game found.You're absolutely right! I always try to respond to people on the Discord.
We should get used to it by now. I'll gladly pay for finished product but no way am I going to fund it in the making.You cant get in without a sub and 1 dollar has a limit, IMO you guys are just like old devs greedy and useless. Years and years no game found.
Discord is free... not sure what you're talking about.You cant get in without a sub and 1 dollar has a limit, IMO you guys are just like old devs greedy and useless. Years and years no game found.
That's what I've said from the beginning.... unless you really want to support the project, you should just wait until it's complete.We should get used to it by now. I'll gladly pay for finished product but no way am I going to fund it in the making.
You're right. All the art costs a fortune. The main artist takes a big percentage, and the rest aren't interested in a percentage. Finding replacements that can maintain the style and quality has been impossible thus far.By no means I think the dev's milking the game: it is yet to gain enough popularity and patrons. I've been watching this one since the beginning, and I think the main issue here lies in how the dev's funding his own project. See those background images posted above? Correct me if I'm wrong, but apparently the guy pays $200 for each. $200 for a single background pic. And the game earns less than $1k/month. It's awesome when an artist's work is appreciated and paid generously. But I think you should either search for artists who charge less when you have a hole in your budget, or re-negotiate: for example, I offer my own team a %-based share of my Patreon earnings, that way they have direct interest in the game's success.
AI can help in some aspects but when it comes to creating new assets, it's not the greatest. New assets are the bulk of the cost and using AI also doesn't sit well with some artists.And using AI to colorize or retouch images, save costs?
Sorry, I can't give you the exact place or time. If I recall correctly, PlayShapes released all of their work in 2012 for free use. I think it was 2014 or 2016 when they started contacting creators asking them not to use their art anymore. I can't recall if an official post was ever made.Hi! I was gravedigging LoK related content after I found a ton of old flash games on my decade old pc, and have stumbled upon here with a question. When/Where did PlayShapes stated that he don't want people using his art assets? Or does he only allow the usage in not for profit projects? Are his assets no longer up for the taking right now?
About AI, some artist uses AI in the process but add finishing touches by themselves. This one, for example.

It's great that the project is developing. Slowly but steadily.Here is a sneak peek at some stuff I've been working on.

- Screen Transitions and Texture Management (Hard to show the texture management lol)
- New Dialogue Engine and Character emotes (Don't worry, text effect will be used sparingly)
- New Combat VFX / Transition (VFX are a work in progress)
Yes, parody characters will be added later. I'm always open to suggestions.Question/Idea, I know the previous game had I guess you would call them reference characters, like Tracer, Korra, etc. Would this game have that too and maybe even putting some in as suggested possibly?
Thanks for the suggestions sarud!Hello!
I have been playing ResErection for some time now, as I played the previous version. I've really enjoyed what I've seen, especially with the better graphics.
I don't know if the Devs accept suggestions outside of Patreon or other support platforms, but I'll leave some suggestions that I think would be interesting:
- Introduction of tattoos;
- Hygiene have a visual impact on the characters;
- Bruise visual effect after losing fights, captured characters and other situations (It would be cool if the effect lasted for a few days);
- Introduction of named gangs and turf wars, gang tattoos, rival brothels and pimps;
- Introduction of drugs, drug dealers and addiction metter that can affect behaviors;
- Depending on the level of security, customers may not only leave without paying, but in some cases unwanted visitors may enter the brothel without security notice (examples: beggars, drunken/drugged guys, etc) and depending on the 'Wit' status, the girls will have sex with them;
- Chance of player's girls being captured when losing in combat, she will return after a few days or she will betray the player;
- Introduction of a new status: Loyalty. This status improves over time according to how employees are treated by you (similar to 'Mood') but in this case, there is a chance that your employees will rob you, sell information about you (increases the frequency of gangs and police raids), leave the brothel during the day (chance of finding them in other locations having interactions with other gang characters);
- Bigger boobs for the Police Officer.
I think that's it. I hope you guys like it and thanks for your attention.
Intriging, I don't know much about her, how do you see her fitting in the story?Best I can add is Naoto Shirogane, since she is a detective from the Persona games it could be interesting for it
