Flash - Completed - Simgirls [Final] [SimMan]

I whole heartily believe that this game was major in the rise of eroge and porn games. Its definitely a product of its time (one I came back to every once in a while, watching this games almost entire development), but without this game we might not have have the games that are out today, the rise of translating Japanese vns and heck probably even this site itself to some extent. its not an exaggeration to say this was one of the pioneers and inspirations to many that would follow it. That in itself makes it worthy of 5 stars. I also have nostalgia of playing it way back when, when it was just a simple product on Newgrounds.

Respect to the OG. So many hours spent on NewGrounds. *sigh* Does it hold up today? Of course not. But it's fucking Simgirls, man. How can you not give it 5 stars?

I still remember the cheat name for max stats and everything. Fuck, I wanna play this again right now.

One of my first adult games that I played. This brings back a lot of memories.

It may not stand up to today's games anymore. But, I'm sure a lot of you can appreciate a classic. This piece right here will always have a place in my heart, err... Storage...

To me, this is the game that started it all...there were few "hentai", sexy, adult and so on games back in the day...Ganguro girl, some shitty game here and there and THIS ONE.
It's still a perfect gem, great 2D graphic (i love 2d!!!), good story, nice gameplay, a lot of hidden content and some of the best and sexy scenes on the game panorama (the strip poker, the "under the table at the mall" scene, and so on...).
This is not just nostalgia, if you've never played it, just do it, you'll love it.
There's no need for a guide to just enjoy this, but a guide will help in finding all the hidden scenes, especially at the start of the game when you really need to know in what order to grind which stats to get the best secret stuff or if you're a completionist. Be careful: THERE ARE SKIPPABLE EVENTS THAT YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO GET IF YOU DON'T DO SOME THINGS IN THE RIGHT ORDER, but they are not many.

Ah, i played this game 3 times i remember, each a different build, and after like 5 years, i will replay it a 4th time, now on it`s full version, and while some changes had surely been made, the rest seems to still be the same from the last time i play it fully. (I mention this in case i re-edit this review for finding something else worth pointing out here)

Graphic wise shows how old this game is, and make it obvious it was made on the early days of newgrounds flash games.
The drawing is poor, some characters seems traced over actual anime characters, and the colors are poor too, but at least the Map was improved compared from the old flash versions i played long ago.
The artstyle is still pretty charming on it`s own way, it gives a nice 80`s anime vibes.

Gameplay wise is simple, it basically build the standard for all the future SIM flash games: talk to girls, raise affection, work, get money, build your own stats to raise the affection and money gained, maybe explore and do side quests, gain the girl, become lovers, and profit! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Again, is very simple, but also very effective; that`s why many based their games on this one.
I must also point out the cool minigames it has as "side quests", specially the fighting tournament (something other games also copied) and is the best "side quest" of the game.

Soundtrack is limited, there is very few backgrounds songs, that play under specific scenarios, the sound effects are also few and repetitive, but that kinda make them pretty iconic and one of the main flagship of this game.

And with the Plot and Characters well...
While the main story is simple, is still a nice scenario to play in, and the events with Karin can make things more intriguing.
The characters are kind of basic, specially the main girls, but overall, it gives a fairly varied cast to the whole game.
The events are not much big thing, but are interesting and gives more inmersion on the world of this game.
I don`t fully remember the endings i once got, but watching it again on youtube, i can say they are very interesting, and there is quite a good variety of them you can get, which increases it`s replayability.

To be fair, i can`t extend enough on how much iconic this game is.
I would dare to say is THE MOST ICONIC (western) FLASH H-GAME OF ALL TIME! (maaaybe besides the Meet and Fuck franchise tho)
With all i mentioned, it feel like it would be a 3 or 4 at best, because this Game has aged badly, since the standards have been raised too much now (specially Graphic wise).
But i will consider it was released on 2002, and while it took so many year to "fully finish it", it was still a great game on the 00´s, and i shall acknowledge the effort and legacy this game made back then.

So finally, with all this said, i will give, this legend of a game, a 5/5!

The grandfather of all Sim-Games. I loved! Still waiting for the real sequel (the game from 2017 was really bad). Many flashgames was inspired from this game. It was the best game on newgrounds (for me!), i'v played this game so many times.

Probably the first porn game I have played.

It deserve a 5 star for the time it comes out.

A lot replay value to collect all possible scenes.

The art is not perfect, but you feel the lust behind the characters.

Such a massive classic deserves 5 stars for being 1 the first and biggest.

Idk if this tribute is perfect, but don't see any complaints on it.

*Small note* Given its age and more so age of original you should know by now it's outdated both in looks and play, but still good.

the graphics have not changed over the years so don't exactly expect to head into this expecting some modern-day 3D hentai dating sim game or even some hentai Visual Novel, we're talking early 2000s flash graphics, so brace yourself on that. but its good for a nostalgia trip and the game itself has some decent gameplay for the time of you having to do the usual dating sim shtick of having a certain number of days to accomplish goals be it buying gifts or items, completing challenges such as fights, building up your stats and the such. it's not PERFECT mind you, keeping in mind this is an early 2000s game so it is going to be rather bare on the gameplay of anything outside of collecting things or the dates themselves, but considering this tends to be viewed as the granddaddy of sim dating games (don't be mistaken it was not the first at the time, just among the most popular) it has not aged that bad all factors withstanding.

also if you want a bit of a cheatsy headstart name should then be testbug. 9999 starting money (considering some of the gifts not that impressive late game) and 170 starting stats out of 200 (with 300 being the max if you collect magazines that increase the cap on perfect dates.)
