I re downloaded it from here and ran the game with no issue, possibly you need to updated some redist software, I'm not sure why you're having this problem

I'm not developer of that game, black screen may for many different reason, and normal player can't fix that. If you give game engine files for that game, i can try to check why that happen, but chance of that is really low.

If you get stuck on text after starting a new game, give it like 30 seconds or press right shift, one of the two did it for me.

Move with WASD, attack with J, pointless jump with K. Double tap directions to run.

There is no combos or blocking or much of anything. Its a whack a mole simulator. Enemies go "stunned" for 2 seconds then they try to attack. There is a massive delay before they attack, though, so they can never hit you if you are moving at all.

Merchants and Healers fuck you instead of payment which is atleast a neat idea. Animations look very basic.

Complete save file for those who care. Extract the content and put it in C:\Users\your username here\AppData\LocalLow\SPP\Samurai. You have to start the game at least once before the folder appears.

The game was NOT fun to play. Slow and sluggish.
