VN - Ren'Py - Sinful Summer: A Tale of Forbidden Love [Ch. 3.2] [Ruykiru]

I really liked the game so far and I hope it doesn't get abandoned or become just a "milking game" like others that were so exciting.

To get the cons out of the way, I would say that at times the sister is a bit too psycho, but you can understand it with the background. Also, at times the change of direction seems a bit sudden for some people to accept.

Pros, which is what it has the most , besides the characteristic design, the photography (scene composition: I was close to use some as wallpaper), sounds, mixing... they fit together very well!

In addition to the "audio-visual", the story makes you want to develop, the characters evolve, accept, debate, fall into denial and make mistakes. In addition, the fact that it doesn't use blackmail or anything like that that forces progress in the main plot is what makes it most fluid and light when it happens, despite the theme and consequences, shown in the duality of the characters' internal conflicts.

In short, the game is real enough to be believable and fantasy enough to work.

Goddamn this is good. The animations may be janky at times and some shots are not perfect but they don't need to be. The artstyle is unique and it gives the game a very endearing soul. The relationship dynamic is perfect. The progression is excellent. The writing is great and I absolutely adore Lyna's character. The VN is entertaining, and the English is fully readable with no grammatical or spelling mistakes, which is not very common in this genre. It shows the care the developer took in delivering a quality product.

This story is a slow burn—very, very slow. I can't say it's anything original, as it features the same family clichés that can be found in many other VNs out there. It's a kinetic novel with good renders, but not much change in scenery—basically, everything happens at the beach house.

It's not my favorite style of story development. I don't mind the slow burn, but this one borders on nonsense with its very heavy tease and denial, and character development that moves one step forward and three steps back. This becomes very frustrating if you play more than one chapter at a time, as it becomes repetitive. You can expect a sudden cool-off as soon as things start to heat up, over and over again. It feels like there's a lot of filler for very little story.

The characters are fine so far—there are only three. The two women actually have their own personalities, which is what you'd expect when reading a novel. The biggest problem is the male character, who is completely irrelevant. He's just there to justify the slow-burn development of the story.

I would recommend this VN. As I said before, it's entertaining if you play each update as it comes out, but if you're like me and prefer to wait for a few updates before returning to a game, I wouldn't recommend doing so with this one.

this dev has hit the sweet spot and is delivering something, those of us being fans of the "lithium comic series" will easily relate to and enjoy.
slower in pace but the more titillating for it.
story is very well presented and delivered, so far at least, i cannot second guess the future, but all signs look good. it delivers the slow corruption well enough and nobody is a step landlord or lady, because the dev decided not to sell their artistic integrity to paypal for a few bucks.

art is not my favourite but then i see imagery as an enhancement, nothing more. the writing lights up my imagination and i can't see the screen beneath all the natural whiteout anyway so...

the only negative i have is the fact that there will probably not be a chance of going balls deep in both female hamster mouths as the dev has little focus on the booty and is more oral focused. fair enough as kinks only work when they have the right setting and the mood of this is less kink and more taboo.

Sinful Summer Simmers Slowly, Seriously...

Up to chapter 2.6 - It's a slow burn, so if you're into a bit of taboo family fun to get your rocks off... this is at one extreme. The other extreme is the overly fast-paced wham-bam.

This kinetic novel seems meticulously thought out as you watch as an observer, reading their conversations and the thoughts of each character. There are still plenty of porn tropes and it requires the suspension of disbelief.

But, this VN takes itself seriously - very. A bit too much for me (yeah, too much) and part way I just looked into the provided scene gallery.

The sister is a real piece of work - very manipulative.

The brother is a wet blanket - no girl would want to chase and seduce him...

The mother has a history.

Sinful Summer is still good, it is well written. I wouldn't say this is average and the animations are good enough.

I'll come back to see how it progresses and hopefully get to see the nitty-gritty debauchery that surely must be coming. It is what I was here for in the first place.

Worth noting that this game is extremely srs about incest, the disclaimer in the OP is very true. If you're not into incest, or only really engage with it as something peripheral for a vague "we shouldn't do this sexy thing!" context, the writing here is 100000% pro incest all the way and wants you to really really really like incest and keeps reminding you incest is good actually. For me tonally it was a dealbreaker

Renders are good, there's some really good framing and asset use despite the limitations of HS2, sound is good, writing is good but very melodramatic and goes back and forth in ways that feel unnatural - like characters have a 'horny' and a 'person' state they switch between

Also the characters being nordic blond blue-eyed white people that really need sunscreen is mentioned a LOT, which is funny lol

Overall this seems like one of the best games on the site for incest, and worth trying if you're ambivalent about it - it might pull you in!

Outstanding VN with minor flaws.

Would be cool if Eric gets a bearing on events, decides incest is bad, consoles himself, outplays his sisters advances, then falls for her anyway, I get he's a confused teenager, but if he's going to fuck her shouldn't he come to some resolve beforehand. (Ignore this I'm not the author)

This is my only gripe with the game, the rest of the game is perfection. The renders, pacing, and atmosphere are masterfully crafted and somehow this is the authors first VN, like how. Actual sleeper, this is one of the best on the site.

Wish I could give it a bigger score, the developer seems to be a good writer, and I love the premise, but the flaws, while not numerous, were far too big to ignore.

As mentioned before, I really like the setting. The pacing is slow, a bit too slow at times, but I don't mind a slow burn. Didn't care much about the music, but I've never been particularly interested in listening to music or SFX while playing a VN, and they can always be turned down or off, so it didn't impact my enjoyment one way or another.

The renders, while not great, are at least serviceable. They do look like they are related, which is nice. I also appreciate some characters having pubic hair, which is something that a lot of games avoid.

So why the low score? The characters. I like Lyna.
I like that she is a lot more assertive than your average female character. A bit bratty at times, but upbeat and the driving force through most of the game.

Helga is fine. Visually, probably the most appealing character. In terms of personality, not so much, but miles better than Erik. I can deal with Helga. What I can't deal with is Erik, by far one of the worst characters in the genre, as far as I'm concerned.
He is not only shy and reticent about what's happening. That would've been understandable. He's downright toxic, not just "emotional", and it makes it difficult to believe that Lyna would be even remotely attracted to him. I was waitning for a change for the better and it only kept getting worse. Erik is just a terrible character for the genre and a pretty lousy character in general.

One of the best games of the genre I've played so far — a standout experience.

Great game about a siblings exploring each other beyond blood ties. Unlike so many other games, they actually look like siblings. Good graphics, decent pace (doesn't cock block you with endless teasing).

I suck at reviewing something but here it is. I always had a thing with incest, but so far it's one of the best kinetic novels I've played. Characters are genuine and so is their internal struggle, the incest is really treated like a taboo and not censored (I liked the retort of some KN/VN who replaced mom-sis-bro to landlady-stepsis-stepbro), I really like the slow burn between all characters (it's not "let's fuck" from the beginning) there are feeling, repressed emotions and sweet romantic gestures under-represented in VN (such as hand-holding, hugging, head-patting...) and the love between the twins is genuine it's more deeper (title!) than just sex. Helga's struggle between her needs, her internal turmoil and her maternal duty is interesting.

I like the fact that's a kinetic novel without choices, as mostly choices tends to change the story and pulls me out of it, I like a story to be straight foward.

Graphically the characters are nicely done (could be better sometimes but I won't complain), it seems they were made with one of Illusion's Studio Creator. The mother is very attractive and isn't look like some generic MILF, Lyna is very cute (I love her pouting face) with her petite body and Erik is nicely done too (I really liked that he was not given an oversized monster cock like in most VN/KN).

Now some parts that were bothering me:
-Erik at the beginning was very annoying. I understand the conflict within him, but he dealt with it in the most toxic way, fortunately it gets better as the story goes.
-I didn't like how Helga is treating her daughter at first (she soften after). I can understand in families with multiple children that there is always a favorite, but she's treating Lyna as a castaway and was only nice to her because her prince is asking her (that's not entirely true I know). I understand Lyna can be too straightfoward (and sometimes kinda perverse and manipulative) but she's seeking for attention and approval from her.
-Then it's just a personal taste, but I really dislike pubic hairs.

What would I wish for next release:
-More Helga and Lyna action!
-More Helga and Erik action!
-More Triple-H (Handholding + Hugging + Headpatting)
-More aggressive advances from Lyna.

Sinful Summer is an absolute MASTERCLASS in storytelling and character building. If you really love a gradual but rewarding story of familial love and development, this is it.

Character designs are really good, the body types feel natural and contribute to each character, not just feeling like they're different for the sake of being different.

Nice to have a setting that isn't a school or a club that's been gifted to you by a deceased relative. Just a family trying to make sense of things after a change in family structure, wink wink.

For all my hairy enjoyers, we have a hairy MILF. Full bush, no landing strip nonsense. We won.

Sexy, slow burn, kinetic novel. It's mostly been teasing up to this point, but the story does well at slowly building the sexual tension until it breaks down the characters' barriers, which is the sexy part. Makes the payoff quite hot.

I hope to see this one really go hard on the "payoff" after building so much tension. Hopefully the devs don't try to drag it out unnaturally and we get a satisfying conclusion.

This is an absolutely subjective 5 stars from me because the qualities of this game more than make up for its flaws. Yes it’s too wordy, some of the faces from chapter one look borderline alien, there’s one bad metaphor per line of dialogue (initially, it does get better), and Eric is the absolute opposite of your traditional incest VN hero.
Yet this all works somehow, and very well too. I can’t a really describe or put in word what makes this VN so damn hot and special but there IS some hard to pin quality to it that makes it somehow amazing even with its flaws.

So i've been following this AVN since its release,
and can honestly say this is 100% one of the most enjoyable ones out there.
I'll break it down in 5 parts:

1: The renders have a certain art-style that is very easy to enjoy.
2: Animations are great, specially enjoy how it makes the teasing look perfect.

Base ond [Ch. 2.5] version:

This is a story focused on eroticism, on overcoming the taboo of incest, without any censorship, without any unnecessary distractions (like sandbox, other LIs, complicated choices etc.), using sound (music and sound effects) in a proper way to create the atmosphere, and with some deep thought put into the dialogue, planned chapters and scenes.

What caught my attention was the excellent writing this has. It’s very believable slow burn story without it being cringe, and it makes you feel a variety of different emotions throughout the story. The naughtiness is also through the roof here, like, it’s really ranchy. Visually it’s great, so many nice details starting from the expressions of the characters, going all the way to the smallest ones in portraying their arousal and other little nudges, not to mention the presentation of the environment and the outfits. Animations are well done for the hot scenes.

If you enjoy naughty erotic taboo incest stories, then this one is definitely for you. It's still in quite early phases, but it still has more meat around its bones than most of the games here that have been in production for much longer period of time, which is really impressive.

As others have mentioned, if you don't like slow burn stories, heavy incest, kinetic novels or Honey Select style visuals, then this might not be a game for you.

This is a slow-burning story about true romantic wincest, about a family that breaks taboo boundaries with a piece of drama. The story is well-written, feels unique and realistic, and you get to see it from each protagonist's side. Of course, you might dislike Erik at first, but he gets better later. The visuals (models, environment, props, lighting, and other effects) are great. The music and SFX are excellent, it's one of the few games I played with the sound on. The sex animations are good,but might be a little bit better, and not only the sex scenes are animated. I should also mention you don’t need to download a patch,the updates come out pretty often, and the dev always reads our feedback.
So, the obvious reasons you might dislike it:

• The story is entirely about incest, so if you are not about it, skip it.
• It's kinetic,you can’t affect the story.
• It’s slow-burning, if you're here for a quick fap, skip it.

Overview: Tee hee hee, I'm such a naughty sister

Story: If i tell you that this story is told from the point of view of a brother who is spending a summer with his horny sister and lonely mother you are probably already assuming that it's a standard sisterfucker, but this one has a twist. Instead of you corrupting all of the women in your life, you are being corrupted by your indescribably horny sister.

Another difference is that this is not a sex game, it is a teasing game. Except for one very brief bit in the middle the protagonist doesn't even touch pussy until the very end of the game. He gets a few blowjobs, handjobs, titjobs, thighjobs, and buttjobs, not to mention a decent amount of groping action and some voyeurism, but doesn't get past second base for pretty much the entire game.

Even the parts where you are theoretically lusting after you mom are pretty tame compared to what your sister does. Despite the sister's near constant seduction efforts the protagonist resists committing incest with his basic human decency. This is an admirable quality in a real life person, but an annoying one in a pornogame protagonist.

The writing is pretty hot, although it does spin the wheels quite a bit

Some parts get a bit weird. The sister character barely gets to third base with the brother but then the mom character shows up early and somehow manages to have a 100% success rate in cockblocking her for what we are told is weeks on end. They literally never figure out a way to sneak out and mses around? Not even when the mom goes out for groceries or takes a nap or anything? Then we are treated to a scene where she drags her brother to the window directly outside of where the mom is cooking and strips naked to start sucking his cock. Then I realized what is going on. The sister has an incest fetish, but also a getting caught fetish. She is only interseted in getting it on if the mom could bust them at any time. The brother, already lukewarm on the incest, is dead set against being found out, which is why it never works out. Maybe she has a spanking fetish?

Graphics: Both of the women are smoking hot and you see quite a lot of especially the sister character as she is constantly flashing her brother.

Sound: This game includes music videos. While the computer generated vocals aren't my cup of tea it does set this game apart. A+ for effort.

Conclusion: The hot writing, good graphics, and extra effort involved in making a music video make this a soild 5 star game. Just beware that it is a lot of talk and not much action.
