It's probably better that he doesn't, because creating a new demo would probably take time away from the main development, and thus increase the chance of pushing the release date further.
depending on his framework it could be, but idk, most devs i've asked have told me it's just like, releasing the game in its current state, up until that point
maybe cutting a few unfinished areas near the end
which is actually obvious if you think about it

Well let's not forget that the dev said that he didn't want to spoil the content/story too, so a new demo with more content is probably off the table until the game is released for sure.

Can someone tell me when is this game going to be finished? I just finished demo and I wonder how long would it take to finish the whole game.

Imagine ordering a fancy dinner at a restaurant, and, a bit earlier than expected, the chef brings out a half raw chicken breast, soaked but warm un-mashed potatoes, and warm soggy broccoli.o_O

What % of players snipe the demos from this site?, What % just simply yo-ho-ho, and move on?
In the latter group, its possible an unfinished demo with more content just kills actual sales for an H Game.
In the former, isn't the experience ruined when you play the game for real? There's no surprises. Just a few extra scenes. Maybe hardcore H Game enthusiast don't care and are unaffected. IDK

I think the existing demo was a solid sampler.

I think the existing demo was a solid sampler.
Case in point, Syahata's Bad Day suffered greatly for this. By the time that game's dev was finished with things many folks cried foul when the last update didn't add much. They expected something impressive for that final stretch but the reality is they were spoiled for content for how often it received updates till then. Not sure whether the fans can be blamed for that result though as I can't remember if the dev himself was responsible for hyping up the ending more than it deserved.

Ah well, live and learn. Personally, I feel the best way to combat this situation is to find a middle ground where instead of revealing too much content within the game, I'd promote it through other methods, like standalone art, world building lore, etc. Something this game's dev has attempted with the art side of things, but those have been sporadic uploads at best.

And now imagine the waiter coming and telling you your fancy dinner is going to take an hour more when you were expecting him to be already bringing it to the table
Guilty Hell 1 had plenty of demos and the final release had a lot more new content, and with GH2 he releases monthly demos which makes him the best h-game dev of the current era, Night of Revenge was also the case iirc
And i'm sure i can come up with more examples if i make memory of all the action h games i've played, even more if i were to count other genres like rpgs
idk about syahata bad day though personally i'm not interested in that game i haven't played it and i don't think i will either

Creating the Boss for Dungeon D

First, let's talk about Dungeon D, the last dungeon for the story in terms of development order.
As of the last article, only the stage boss remained, but we have finished this and brought all dungeons to a close.
Created all path areas.

We then created the path area from the town to the dungeon and connected all of these areas.
I don't remember how many areas I added, but I think it was just under 20.

I don't remember how many areas I added, but I think it's safe to say that the paths to clear the dungeon are almost all connected.

As for my goal for the year of “connecting the paths to clear the story,” I think I have achieved it.

Future Work

We have been regularly checking individual operations, but now that we have connected the paths, we will now begin the process of developing the connections between them and the overall flow of play.
Around the text

In order to follow the flow of the game more accurately and to ask for translation of the in-game text, we will also be working on getting it into an official state, along with hints, directions, flag conversations, items, etc. for the players.
The rest of this year will be such work.
Addition of quests and events

We will be adding a few more side quests and events that are not directly related to clearing the game.
We have endless ideas for situations and enemies we would like to create, but being greedy will continue to delay the release date, so we will carefully select those that can be done in a post-release update and those that we would like to include from the time of release, and we would like to add a few more.

G-EIGHT

It seems that DLsite participated in the “2024 G-EIGHT Game Show” in Taiwan at the beginning of this month, and my work “Sinistica 2” was also exhibited there.

I was not able to visit the site because I was in the midst of development, so I did not do much work for the exhibition and only handed over some of the materials.
Thank you very much to those who exhibited and viewed it!

I heard that some kind of clear files were distributed, but I haven't seen them yet because I don't know if they were caught by the customs.

End Tweet.

I am quite happy that each area and dungeon is connected!
It's not a huge game by any means, but I feel like I can get a feel for the world as I walk around.

Of course, strictly speaking, there are still some things I would like to add, such as background decorations, small enemies and traps for the road, etc., and it is very important to maintain the game from here, but I think it is not bad that we made it this far within this year for now.

On the other hand, we are still accumulating content that we want to create outside of the main storyline.
I think there are quite a few things that will be put into updates after the release.

However, the concept of creating a structure that makes it easy to create and add content is one that we have been writing about here at ci-en since the early planning stages of this project, so I think the amount of content that will be released and added will be greater than in the previous work.

By the way, as I have written several times, updates basically do not cost money.
There is a possibility of paid DLC for things that require large orders from outside (illustrators, voice actors), but if it is just additional stages, events, or costumes, it will be a free update like the previous one.

Greetings

Thank you very much for your support this year!

There are going to be some real-life bad events like the one with my parents' house, but if there are no other problems, we should be able to release it around the end of March 2025, as announced in the notice.

We will do our best to make up for the wait, so please stay with us until next year.
See you next year!

Looks like it's the final stretch already, they're just cleaning up, adding optional quests, and filling the game with life, but otherwise every boss and dungeon is done!

If the full game will be even better than the demo, sign me up. Too bad that DLsite is
at the moment a bit of a pain for me without Paypal :( But if one door closes, one door
opens ;)

Setting aside the sexual stuff, I am excited for the game as a game. The character using a sword and literal magic bow just really hits the right cords for my fantasy taste. Doesn't hurt the combat and gameplay are good and show effort put into them.

Yeah, like sinistar 1 lol
To be fair, the combat in the sequel does seem to have been fleshed out some with the introduction of alt stat weapons and such that can be switched out for others, but the demo really only alluded to this, so it's hard to say how involved it will be.

Personally, I was hoping for different fighting styles depending on the weapon but I'll live if this isn't the case.

That said, a guy can dream. I really do hope Uu gives the sequel a few DLC packages, free or otherwise. Not just to add a couple new areas like the first game but new mechanics that build on the game's foundations for modders to go nuts with.
