I dont think they have. I have a MasterCard which wont work. You have to purchase DLsite points card, like 2000, 4000, 8000 etc through JustBooks and put serial number in on DLsite to renew your points. Thats the only way

mastercard and visa are waging a war on porn in general. the primary reason why a lot of websites tend to be finicky about hosting adult content is bc they are afraid of drawing mastercard and visa's ire

I don't know why someone said they can't use VISA or MasterCard . DLSTIE website write that you can use those credit cards ,if it cannot work ask your issuing bank.
You can't buy game with money, you need to buy points first.

Since about half a year ago you CANNOT directly buy points on DLsite with EITHER of those card holders. For a time paypal worked as an intermediary but now people have to jump through hoops like making an JP Amazon account or using JustBooks(ForBooks?)

fine, i just use alipay,so didn't know the credit card conditions had changedHere's the link to the place where I managed to buy DLsite coins. For some reason it's not showing up normally when looking through ForBooks, and it's not showing as an option on DLSite itself anymore (only Amazon Japan), but for some reason the listing is still up. Buy at your own risk, obviously.

The points aren't necessary anymore (for the time being), as they currently support direct purchases with Visa or Mastercard. Worked as of a few days ago.
Dunno when it was implemented/effective. I've had to deal with the whole points system myself in the past, so I was pleasantly surprised. Of course, could go away (again) in the future too.

Just checked. Your right they've changed it back. Must have come to some sort of agreement.
Its all about controlling what you can/cannot buy especially from the West. Its like the EU putting pressure on Japan to Westernise anime, games and manga, make it more 'diverse' make female characters thicker, broader, big jawlines etc.
And bank cards must have joined in because people can buy 'offensive content'
I just say this, I work for my money, I can buy whatever the hell I want, its not harming anyone and what I do is my own business in my home
